omg...
didnt go to school today to go drive this road. its off the parkway. has anyone ever drove this. its sooo narrow and soo many hairpins. it was such a rush. here is a really crappy pic of one of them and photoshoped to make them connect.

I went for a drive on the parkway today for lunch.( I work in Asheville) I went all the way to Mt. Pisgah. I saw the turn for 151 and looked down the road a bit. It looked like it would be a nice road. Kinda narrow but fun nonetheless.

We should get a parkway cruise together and take 151 as well. I will maybe go back to it tomorrow if it's nice out.

the 21st of may (sunday) a bunch of people are getting together from ncdrifters.com to go cruise all the good roads. no drifting of course or racing, just to get together and meet and socialize as well as drive touge. it should be fun. lots of cars like 240's 86's and subaru's. itd be neat to get some people from here to go.

I'm down for a cruise then. Sunday works out well as that is my only weekend day offWhere is the meet up point and times? Or are there no concrete plans yet. That is next weekend i believe yes.

Definetly want to get a group of 7's together for that. I'll try to remember to schedule that in.

please explain to me what the hell touge is and why it is called that? i assume its twisty roads?

 

touge - its japanese for windy mountain pass or road. its been adopted i think b/c its better than saying. "hey are you going driving in the mountain roads this weekend?" or "are you driving touge?" i found its just easier to say that than other phrases. i onno i never really thought about it until you said something. lol.

 

ok i find, windy back roads easier.

I was just being a smartass.. I sensed sarcasm in your post so i played along. I'll see if they want to go but that they will HAVE to behave in a orderly fashion. Some of them have trouble with that sometimes.
