85rx-7gsl-se, I have a partial exhaust from my 10AE if you want. It's a 3" with 'high flow' cat and muffler. All it needs is a downpipe.

Oh I'll be in Manchester Sat thru Sunday, if you want to work something out.

Thanks for the offer, but I've already got all the components(about $600 worth), just need installed. What brings ya to Manchester?

Sounds good. I am from Winchester and I have family in Manchester that I am visiting. Hopefully I'll get to drive my car. If you see a 10AE riding around, it's me.

Anyone in the Ktown area going to the Dragon this weekend? I'll be in 'Mur-ville' visiting more family - again hopefully driving the 10AE.

I see you speak the native tongue, this pleases us.

Anyway, I doubt this weekend is good one to run the Gap just because traffic and law enforcement will both be at extremes... but if you want to hang out then send me a PM. If anyone else is still in town this weekend we could get a mini meet together.

Hehe - my wife is from Maryville and when I showed her the above post she hit me. Unfortunately, I found out I have to work on Friday so no Dragon for me.

She should know how it's pronounced by now, come on. That sucks that you can't come, one of my friends wants to hit the gap on Sunday afternoon in his FB so if traffic isn't terrible I might bring out my FB. I haven't that one up there yet. He's trying to get a couple other 7 owners to go along.

Well I heard nothing more about this weekend so as far as I know, no one went. I think the guy who initially brought it up has his car apart for a TII swap. I'll try and let you know when we're going if we go any time soon. The FB is begging to make a run too... I'm curious to see how different if feels from my "fatass" FC.

Hey guys;

I have a 1986 RX-7 that is giving me fits. Runs on half power all the time. Anybody know of a RX-7 mechanic in/near Clarksville? The dealership reccomended taking it some place besides them.

Nope other than Bob Powell 85 GSL-SE/TII (on Base) and memphisraines82.
Other than that you would have to come to Symrna/Murfreesboro.
Down here you have Charles and myself, David Garfinkle and a few others.

Ha, that just figures. With our cars you pretty much have to rely on forum knowledge or other rotorheads unless you live near a specialist. Is the car smoking? How's the idle?

What happened to the 18's? Those looked good. Which TII wheels did you get, spokes or sawblades? Looking forward to the pics.

Update on downward spiral:

RX-7 did not make it out of the drive.
The problem has redefined itself.

When started cold, she idols just fine. When the accelerator is pressed, the engine starts to die. As she warms up this problem goes away but it last for ~5 minutes.

Any ideas?

I worked on an M3 that did that just last week. Check your ignition system. The plugs and wires maybe fine and dandy when idling, but loading it up causes failure. No guarantees, but just a thought. Also check the idle valve, or in our cases, the BAC valve. I wouldn't think that this would cause the issue, but just in case. I am unsure of how it operates on Mazda operating systems, but for the first few rpms off idle on Bimmer's, it's controlled by the idle valve. Check it out and let me know what you find.
