good place to get IC pipe welded?
good place to get IC pipe welded?
I am wanting to get my IC piping welded from were I put my BOV. basically i had to cut a section of my piping and put the flange for the BOV so now it looks ugly cause of the added couplers. Plus i would like to reduce the risk of boost leaks as much as possible. I live in leesburg but willing to drive to orlando since its only about 20-25 min from me. thanks alot
forgot to add that the piping is aluminum.

If you can get the pipes to sit flush together with a small enough gap, I'd try this:
http://www.harborfreight.com/pack-of...ods-44810.html
I would do it on my own IC pipes, but they're powdercoated and I don't want to destroy the nice glossy "v-twin black" coating I put on there.

Make sure you clean the joints to be welded with a stainless steel wire brush (pretty much all are SS anyways). Good clean joints are key to proper weld. Heat the pipes with a propane torch, and don't ever put the torch on the rod. After about 30 seconds of heating, take the torch off and drag the rod around the joint. If it doesn't melt, it's obviously not hot enough. Once you get the rod to flow, add some filler, heat the adjacent 2-3", add filler, repeat. The hardest part will be keeping the pipes in the position you need them while welding. If you can get one side welded (really it's brazing, but whatever), start welding the opposite side so you have something to keep them held together.
Good luck
