Hi, I'm steadily learning about cars....and so we need a project car....we want a 93-95 RX7 shell...no engine no tranny...nothing just an empty carcass....anyone want to help?

If you plan on converting it to some other engine configuration, just make sure the rest of the parts are there, otherwise it's a lesson in futility trying to source the small interior parts (been there done that).

Otherwise I'd still try to get a blown roller with the engine/trans. You can always sell the parts you dont need to recoup your extra cost.

Just some friendly advice.

 

Its not as a simple task as it may seem unless you have the capital to make it happen and then money is no object... take a look at Rob20rx7's project car... or pm him and you will see what an undertaking its been to get it all done... his project car has turned out pretty nice.

and this isn't the usual project car that you may assume it to be....the plans are simple...and we'd like to be frugal in our project....we don't need a beautiful shell but we don't want a burnt/rusty heap of junk either...

 

theres one in the autotrader right now

 

just buy one with a blown motor...probably cost about the same and you would be able to part out most of it..if you find one , sell me the tranny .

 

yea...false advertising it says 93 but its an 88 converted to 91...we saw it yesterday and we got excited for nothing lol but thanks

 

theres a white 94 down the street from my house the guy wants $3500 runs and drives i just dont have the cash for it..... now before you get all excited it has a slight hit on the drivers side fender not shure if the airbags went off pm if intrested

we asked them about the car about 4 months ago and it wasnt 4 sale.and i dont think it was a slight hit the sunroof was either cracked or twisted i was told.but car doesnt look bad ,and does run.

 

If he doesn't want it, I'll take it if you could somehow get me a phone # for the guy...

hey phil i went to go look at it not that long ago and danny went also the guy told danny he wanted $3500 for the car the way it is but danny say that the sunroof is fine but yes driver side fender is gone and windshield is destroyed...
