ok so my friend is moving into a new apt, they kept telling her she could move in the 1st, they rent a uhaul and take her stuff to the new apt. they tell her she can move in at 2pm on the first. she calls that morning, and they say its still ok. they get there at 2 and the apt is being remodeled, the contractor talked to them and said they kept telling the complex it wouldnt be done til friday after the first, this was told to the complex in mid july.

due to the complex's lack of common sense and telling my friend she could move in the first when there was no way in hell it was done (still needed to have cabinets put up, electrical inspection, paint, etc) my friend has to pay to have her dog put in the kennel for two nights, because the friend she is staying with complex doesnt allow dogs. so thats an added expense on her part, due to negligence, plus the inconveniece of staying with her friend.

and she told me a little bit ago that they just told her she can move in til monday night, what are her options? i mean she (and her friend thats going to be her roomate) is seriously getting shafted by the complex, and they dont seem to care one bit.

she is in tallahassee, fl if it helps, i know some states are different. can the BBB do anything?


btw im suppose to be in florida the 21st til the 25th, not sure if ill be able to meet up with anyone. im going to be visiting my friend thats having the apt problem.

 

Where in Florida ? Tallahassee is out of our jurisdiction... perhaps log onto wsvn's channel 7 news website and have her write a letter to ''Help Me Howard" ... Howard Finkelstein is in Miami but who knows he may take the case on for TV...
