Whats up guys. So Im in afghanistan right now and my R&R is in november. My wife and I have a cruise booked out of Miami for 4 days to the bahamas. Also, we plan on renting a corvette from hertz for 2 days ... wanted to rent an rx7 but apparently theres noone in america who rents them as far as i can find. Im looking for other ideas of what to do while were in Florida ... i only have 2 weeks total but I dont want to hang out at the beach everyday. Hoping for good weather, ive heard its nice year round. Definitely want to do some jet skiing and water sports a few days, but other than that whats fun to do in Florida? Neither of us have been there before. Also where would be some good roads to take the corvette? Thanks for any ideas.

Drive down to the keys.

Drive across the Tamiami trail.

See the Everglades National Park.

See South Beach. Drink coffee there and have cuban sandwich with some tres leches for dessert.


Sanibel island used to be nice 20 years ago. Not sure now.

Fight the Mosquitoes and **** Roaches. (you will lose, but it's fun to try)

There are zero fun roads in Florida. No curves. Whatever, as long as you have good company and sounds like you do...

Stop by Busch gardens/seaworld, military gets in for free. Alot of stuff to do in orlando as well.

 

thanks for the ideas guys ... i was thinkin disney world but busch gardens and seaworld actually sounds like alot of fun too, and free is always good! Nassau is the name of the island our cruise is stopping at for a day, going to check that island out should be fun, gotta remember not to drink too much, tolerance is wayyy down!

 

yeah they say that, but on my midtour leave I was fine, oh wait thats because they made me take it 60 days into my tour.
