Florida guys (silver 350z hit me and ran)

Hey guys,

If you are in Florida and see a silver 350z coupe w/ Chrome wheels, tinted windows, HID's, and with either 2 license plate tag #'s please let me know.

Florida tagged:

JM5-3MZ

My girlfriend and I were on the way back from dinner tonight (Sunday night) and he slowed down as I was about to pass him and darted in behind me. He had half of his car in the far left emergency lane next to the jersey barrier dividers and half in the fast lane, in which I was in.

He was driving really aggressively and I couldn't even see his headlights. I tapped the brakes to indicate he was WAY too close and about 2-3 seconds after that my car lurched forward (while going 65-70mph) and he slammed into me. I corrected the car to keep from spinning out and he continued to pass me. I slowed down b/c it had looked like he was going to pull off on the shoulder like I was but he kept going...

I then downshifted and when I got just close enough to get the tag #... the tachometer suddenly went to 0 and my car cut off. I don't have an issue that would make it do that but it runs fine now and I do not know how to explain it. My car has never really just died like that. So this ****** just floors it and keeps going like a little bitch.

I think it was intentional b/c I didn't stab or stand on the pedal. I barely grazed my foot across it to trigger the brake lights to come on. But still. I had my girlfriend in the car with me and what if we had lost control and gotten into a really bad accident?

But had the sheriff and state troopers come out and they both told me pretty much the same thing. They ran the tag and couldn't really do anything and that there wasn't noticeable damage to my car enough to pursue him?!?!? What the ****!

We were okay and my exhaust got pushed in as well as my rear bumper but I guess only I can see it b/c it's my car and I look at it everyday. I am pretty upset about the ordeal and the way that the local law enforcement handled it. But I hope his car got fucked up from it. Whatever.

*end of rant

I was in Greenville, SC not Florida... sorry I left that out. He was headed on I-85 south, which is the direction back home if he were visiting up here.

Sounds like you went past the rev limit and your ignition cut out automatically. That's normal.
