Fitment

This is going to sound like an odd post, but does anyone in the Memphis, TN area have an FD that i could sit in. I don't need to drive it i just need to make sure that i can comfortably sit in driver seat and not feel cramped before i buy one and start on my new project. I have posted on some local forums but nobody has responded. Or if anyone one is about my size and fits nicely in their own let me know I'm 6'3" 260lbs. I have driven a friends FC a few times and i fit ok are they about the same size in terms of driver seating position and space.
thanks
alex

No. They are noticeably tighter than an FC. In terms of interior room, they are slightly bigger than a Miata of that era. There's also no tilt steering wheel (which was standard on many FC trim packages).

If you're tempted to buy one soon, won't that involve sitting in the car? Are you considering buying a car WITHOUT sitting in it?

i would definitely prefer to sit in an fd before i buy one i would especially like to sit in the exact one before i buy it, but there are only a couple fds in the area and all of them are owned by older people that more than likely dont know their potential and none are for sale. ive always loved the fd i think its one of the best looking and best handling cars with so much potential in terms of versatility. im not in a huge hurry to start this project so ill be looking for awhile, but it seems like i might have to buy one without seeing it in person or sitting in it. but thanks for the info i will keep trying and see if i can locate one near by to test out.
thanks
alex
