Alright, I talked to an Army soldier yesterday while driving down Skibo (I know it's dangerous, spare me), he was driving an FD that looked to be Montego Blue with black ADR wheels with a chrome lip. I'm looking for this person to see if they want to join. I'll be making up the flyers soon to post around town, mostly at Advance, Autozone, Napa, Wal-Mart, and places on base, etc. Watch for them, I wanna get this thing started soon. And don't forget, Deal's Gap is April 7-9. If you want to go, I'll point you to the right thread, or go to RRDI.org.

I'm interested!!! Haha. I'd be joining you but I'll be out of town, but I already told you that. Damn events keep pulling me away, haha. One of my main problems was thinking of a place to start meeting. Just let me know where and when and I'll get as many people as I can get.

 

Just a note about the motego blue fd, i met the guy in a parking lot today, seems like a decent guy, hes a mechanic for the army, and was one before in the civilian world as well.. i gave him the site and my number, he seemed pretty excited about it. I also asked him if he wanted to go out to the raleigh meet this weekend and he said he would most definently want to..

 

That's awesome man. I hope we can get a bunch of people together, not only to start a group down here but to join the group up there every once in a while. They said they'll come down here sometimes too. I need to find some curvy roads around here for a drive we all can do. The ones we have in Raleigh are pretty fun. No roads are as good as Deal's Gap though, haha.

I went this past April, and I was going to go this weekend but I'm gonna go on the 23rd with some other friends from Raleigh I think, and attend the first Fayetteville meet that Victor is putting together. BTW Victor, do you have a meeting place yet? Chris, you are more than welcome to come along on the 23rd. It's about a 7 hour drive to get out there though. So I imagine we'd head out on a Friday night, stay at a hotel Friday and Saturday nights and drive back Sunday. Although I'm not sure of the exact plans they other guys have so I'll have to check first. I'm pretty sure it would be cool if you came along. Same for the rest of you guys in the Fayetteville area, if there's anyone else reading this, haha.

 

yeah it seems we are the only two here as of now.. the weekend of the 23rd is up in the air.. depends if somone in my company gets a DUI or not.. so i might as well flip a coin if i was to give an answer now..

 

HAHA, I know exactly how you feel. Just waiting for someone to mess everything up for everyone, HAHA. That's why I don't usually make solid plans until just before the event. No biggie, just let me know sometime that week, or that Friday would work too. I'm going to call Victor to see what time and where he's trying to meet. Maybe I'll just run down the street and talk to him, haha.

^You guys are more than welcome to join, I just didn't figure you'd want to drive this far. But we'd be happy to have you. My buddy Jason is at Lejeune. He doesn't seem to make it out much anymore though, ever since he picked up a "female type, 1 each", haha. If you guys want to set something up I'm more than willing, it would be great to meet up with you guys. Do you have a club set up already? I started this thread almost a year ago but I've been slacking on it, never got around to actually set something up until PR Soldier took the reigns. We had our first little meet this past Saturday, just hung out for about 45 minutes or so before heading to Raleigh for the meet up there. Just let me know if you want to set something up.

well guys we can go back to the target parking lot again for now. now the question is how often we are going to meet i think i was thinking on the 23 but sounds like you guys are going somewere so i will be by myself unless somebody else comes just let me know

 

As of right now, we are going to Deal's Gap on the 23rd. Do you guys want to meet every couple weeks like the Raleigh group or once a month for now? And do you want to meet on the same days as the Raleigh group or different days that way we can take a trip up there if we want to?

Chris would probably be there, so you wouldn't really be alone, it'd probably just be the two of you, haha. I can call Patrick too and see if he wants to meet there again. And the target parking lot sounds good to me too, until we find somewhere more suitable, if that happens. Let me know what you guys want to do. Give us some ideas.

What's up guys? My names Eddie, I live on Ramsey down by the Wal-mart and I go to Pine Forest High. I picked up my 93' VR Touring about 2 months ago from allrotor93 (Really good guy.) It's nice to see that there's other people here with the 7's, my friend David who also goes to Pine Forest drives a 94' Montego Blue with like 50k on the clock...really nice car. We'll probably be at Freaky Friday this Friday, so I'll hopefully see some of you guys there!

 

Great to have you Eddie. I'm thinking about maybe having another meet this weekend, but I was wondering if maybe we should have it in front of the old Sam's Club. There is a little more visibility there, and as long as we don't get hassled by the po-po and there are no other clubs meeting there at the same time, that would be a great spot. I think we should meet up at Freaky Friday though, if the rest of you are down. Eddie, PM me your number so I can call you when I get out there and find out where you guys are parked, and I'll PM you my number. Chris, did you get your fire issues sorted out, and can you make it out to Freaky Friday and the meet Saturday if we have one? Victor and I pulled his engine this past Sunday and we're taking it apart tonight after work and he's gonna do a bridgeport on it while he has it out, so hopefully the blue beast will be back on the road within the next couple weeks. Let me know what you guys think of the plans.
