Thumbs up GSL-SE Plates

Just got these in yesterday from a fellow forum member in west palm. They look to be in really great condition. first step for these will be to send them out to get re-surfaced.

Just wondering why you have 4 port and 6 port irons.
Also, I remember reading a while back about the cooling system for a 4-rotor. Basically, it's too long of a travel for the coolant to go into the block and then back out again, as well as mentioning that the coolant is already hot enough mid way through, let alone coming back. Let me see if I can find where I read that.....

Oh yeah, it was when I was reading the granny's 4-rotor. It's mentioned on the page, and there's also a picture of how he did it (1st picture)

Thumbs up

I really cant get into why we are using that combination of irons but i can go as far as to say that it has patially to do with the second part of your question and cooling. I will also add that the porting on the iron makes no difference as this will be a full peripheral port engine.

I haven't been on this forum for a while and this thread caught my attention i would like to know what's so special about the "supposly" 4 rotor being built, that no information can be given... it's not like it hasn't been done before.....Australia did it.....Team Spencer has them on their race cars ......one is being built in Canada ......and if you call these people they'll give you information about it .......point blank it's nothing out of this world ..its already been done ...so what's the big deal?...... so please someone enlighten me on what's so special about it. It's just another 4 rotor..........Thanks

Well for us local guys, there aren't exactly dozens of 4 rotors running around on the street. Twin turbo LS7 Z06s have been done hundreds of times too, but I still think they're badass, like the one at my job now. So please exuse our excitement.

mazda made them too, but if its nothing special and so common, why did this thread "catch your eye?" and also if they are so common, where is your 4 rotor vehicle?

it's not that i'm a hater, because a project of this matter probably requires alot of financial resources which i don't have.....its just that this was said in another thread and i just want to know what's the mystery behind the project that it needs to be kept so secret ...what are they the C.I.A?
"As to the 4 Rotor Twin Turbo Fd : At the Owner's request, we are not at liberty to give details of this project at this time. Only details are that development is all done, ancillaries, manifolds, and sub systems also done, engine is in final stages of assembly, and initial setup and tuning will be done on our Engine Dyno prior to instalation.
The project is quite far along, and it's a matter of time before testing.
The project's owner also wishes to remain anonymous for the time been."

.........it's not in a bad way i'm just saying why so much mystery.

There is no mystery, this is the second project that rob has done and posted it step by step... Rob is a good friend of mine.. He's not a baller either, just knows how to save money, buy parts when he can and enjoy his passion of rotary engines and racing... Many race engine builders have secrets that they dont want to disclose, remember a 4 rotor engine is not as common as you think...
