DSR club will have our next meet on Saturday, June 28, 2008. We will meet at 5:00 pm at the Tango's Pizza located at 12310 sw 127 avenue, Miami, Florida, 33186. We will wait until 5:45 pm and then we will proceed in a caravan to the Tamiami Ariport where we will take part of an auto show inside the ariport next to Berto's Cafe. This auto show takes place every fourth saturday of the month and a big number of cars participate in this show. I went last month and it was great to see a mixture of old school cars from muscle cars to British like Triumph TR6 and amphibious car and an old Mac truck in mint condition. Hopefully we can show a good number of RX7 and represent the rotary engine. I took both of my RX7 at the last meet and had a great time. The show is free. They have food and drinks including beer available but are not free. Everybody is welcome even if you are not part of the DSR Club or if your car is down at this time and please bring the family and kids.

sound like a good time....i have some work commitments at the end of the month but if i can finish them in time, i will be there. if i can make it, i will try and bring some of the broward group!!

 

Sounds good Simon. Hey we need to plan a meet in broward soon, maybe next month (July). Let me know what date is good for you guys in broward and I will get together with the guys down south and make it happen. I haven't been to Towers in a long time, but it doesn't have to be Towers. You name the place, time and date.

WAS UP DSR...... this is going to be a great meet we will like for all the members from the club to show up and represent the rotary community...this should be a commitment from you to the club ,we will be appointing a new vice-president and talk a lot of issues and strugles from the club. we what to do great things with the club but everyone needs to participate...we will be looking for a better metting location,we what to give the broward members an oportunity to meet somewere close to them and so on.......its going to be great!!!

It was a great day , we had a good time and the day held up, cloudy but no rain. We had a good show of RX7's, close to 20 to include two RX4's in mint condition. Thanks guys for representing the rotaries. I hope that we can make it a routine to participate one a month to this show, after all it is free. Pictures should be coming up soon. Hey Rolly! post the pictures that you took last night, so that everybody can see what they missed.

really looks like you guys had a really good time......went by tangos on my way home from Homestead but there was no one there........i passed by at 5PM and did not see anyone there................oh well i wasn't in my 7!

 

Hey Simon, How are you doing? Haven't seen you in a while. We had a good time, next time give me a call, I would off guide you to the place, it is close to Tangos. We are planning the next meet closer to you guys in broward, so that we can meet with you guys. yeah i should have called....you are right. as far as meeting up in broward i would suggest that we meet at towers on a friday night, the only problem is the drive from miami. to get a good spot at towers you have to be there before 8 PM.

Joe knows all of the hang out spots so maybe he can suggest something and we can raid the spot with Rotary Power

 

That's what I am talking about Simon. Talk to the guys in Broward and let's make it happened. Maybe we can meet at Towers and then go some other hangout when Towers closes. Let me know what dates are good for you guys and I will get together the Miami group. Give us at least a month in advance so that I have enough time to pass the word. Maybe we can make another group to represent the rotaries at the next Auto Show at the Tamiami Airport which it is always the fourth Saturday of every month. Whatever you guys decide let me know.
