im leaving lakeland(cent FL) very early(like maybe 2 or 3am) friday it looks like, due to work, is anyone else heading up from this way around that time that wants to connect somewhere and caravan the rest?
i may by chance leave thursday evening, not sure on that.

Well, still not sure of Jesus' plans so for now, I am going to leave Jax early Thursday and go up 95 and cut across I-26. Will miss out on the ATL caravan but I'll take pics as you guys roll in.

If anyone else wants to come with me, pm me and we'll work something out. Neil from Jax is also going.

 

Papsmagu and I are planning on leaving early Thursday morning and driving straight thru till we get there...
If all goes well, we will be joining Herblenny on his Friday morning drive...

The past few years the SC group has only consisted of a hand full of rotary's.

It would be cool to get some more rotary's to connect with us at the top of SC.

Though this would mean you'd have to leave really early.

We are staying at the same place as last year... Microtel Hotel in Bryson City. Its about 10 miles from the Village...

 

Got it. We're at the Village again, right across the road in a cabin. Let me know if you guys want to hook up for dinner on Thursday. Unless there is a better place, we'll probably eat at the resort restaurant.

 

We'll be passing thru Spartanburg but probably not until 1:30 or so. It's most likely me in my black FD and Neil in his red one.

 

Hopefully we make it there in time for dinner...

The original plan was to leave there sometime around 1pm.
It only takes a few hours to get to Deals Gap from there. So whats one more hour wait.

So if you can get to Westgate Mall, exit 21b befor 2pm. That would be cool.

Its probably going to be hardly a handful of the SC crew meeting up there anyway.

 

if we can make it by 7PM the resort restaurant sounds good. we had dinner last year at the hotel restaurant and it was not something i want to repeat. i ordered the steak and i got what looked like the bottom of my show but only about an 1/8" in thickness. i had to order a second plate (meatloaf) cause i was still hungry after i ate the "Steak"

 

Cool. Handful of us will be meeting at I-75 NORTH Exit 451 Jasper/Live Oak at 8am Thursday. Drive to the ATL meet.

Made it to Warner Robins, Ga. About 90 miles from Atl.
Ill finish the rest if the way tomorrow.
Also... The car ran great!

 

Awesome...if we are on time we should pass Warner Robbins around 10:30 ish. You are about 2.5 hours from our meet spot at exit 451 Jasper/Live Oak.

We'll try to hook up and get out caravan larger.
