John, I believe Mike went to visit his father. He lived really close to Deal's Gap.

Our first Deal's Gap meet was awesome, could not have asked for more on our first trip out there. Next year, man it is gonna be AWESOMEeeeeeee!!!

Sorry guys, I am still excited from the trip, hehe, dont feel like going in to work now.

I had so much fun this weekend the 80 in a 55 ticket doesn't even phaze me. (I own a loud 3rd gen what should I expect?) Even my wife and her cousin had lots of fun. I met alot of you and I can now put the screen names with the faces. I can't wait until next year already.
I'm with Reese when I say if there were 5 more events like this throughout the year I'd never be able to get the smile off my face.

7's RULE!!!

Thanks to all that made it possible. Now where do we send the vids to be made into a DVD?

GREAT TIMES!! and very nice people.

Couldn't of had a better time...lots of driving!! and lots of rotor talk by all.

Deal's Gap was like a 20 minute AutoX lap...

Keep the pics coming! my camera broke so I didn't snap a single shot.

Phil, I have to go back a little sooner than thought. I actually have to go to court for that ticket b/c it was 25 over the posted speed limit. It's on the 12th of next month and @ 9am.

It's a 3hr drive up there!

I took the day off work already. I think I'll have a little fun to offset the incident.

This was a GREAT get together. I had a blast and didnt even have a car haha. You couldnt ask for better atmosphere, scenery, or weather. I enjoyed it so much I think I'm going to go back later this year for a little mini vacation.

Since I didnt have a car there I was a passenger most of the time, this allowed me to video a LOT of the event. I have a full hour of tape. I've given it to Herblenny to go thru but I'm sure it will take a long time for him to make it into something people can actually download. I think I have video of every car there, in addition to some of the gap and also the Skyway (not everyone did the Skyway since it was Sunday). The Skyway is breathtaking, it starts at somthing like 2200 feet, goes up to 5600 feet, then back down to 900 feet. Its absolutly ridiculous and is worth the drive just for the scenery.

Phillip, THANK YOU for spending the massive amount of time it took to make this happen, you did an outstanding job!!!

It was nice meeting everyone and I look forward to it next year!!!
Stephen

Man, waiting til next year seems to be such a long time. I do not know if I can wait that long. Maybe we can have a small get together or something. No need to really organize, just maybe set a date, and make room reservation and just go.

It is beautiful up there and being surround by great people makes it even better.

Great meet Phil and sorry i couldnt help with it. I thought it was excellent. First meet or not I thought it was setup extremely well. Sorry I didnt get to hang around longer but the supra I was with blew the front main seal so we had to wait on AAA to find us out in nowhere. Only fitting a MKIV break down at a rotary meet. I wish I would have introduced myself to more people but I just kinda enjoyed walking around and checking out the cars. Thanks again for a great event. It is also nice that it is in my backyard

I had a great time, it was so sweet to meet so many great 7 owners. The gap was a damn good run and I couldnt have asked for a better group to run with. Damn wish I could have hit the skyway with you guys, glad I didnt though my car lost more and more power as the drive went on. We ended up taking mikes off the trailer and me dirving it while mine was trailered all the way home. Check engine light says Wastegate control solonoid. Guess I figure it out this week hopefully. I hope we have another event this fall at the latest.

What would you think about a 7,300zx, and supra meet for this fall? Not jacking this thread so dont post back here. But if people are interested Phil and I are considering doing a shootout between the three cars. Dyno, Track day or autox, and 1/4 drag strip. I am pretty sure this is going to come together so PM me with what you guys would think of a meet like this if you dont mind. It will most likely be held in Atlanta.

Thanks

Yeah those cabins were huge. I mean you could fit like at least 5 per cabin. We can cook out and just hang out, everyone can pitch in on food.

Phil, you did enough man, dont worry about the sponsorship. Let's just set a date and reserve some rooms and just go hang out.

Man I am getting all excited here!!!

Just food for thought here. We can even cruise to Gatlinburg if it is not too much trouble and stay there for a day. There is places to eat and things to see. They even have great views and some twisties too.

I actually work at a cabin rental place in gatlinburg so I can get everyone hooked up for a good price unless the meet is in October. It is too crazy here in October due to the leaves changing.
