yeah i guess i'm going for a non-factory look then. never understood race cars molding the fenders. little bump at the track and it's a costly repair. this way, just unbolt and put in a new fiberglass piece.

TPS has been adjusted. turns out the green connector can be either male or female (female in my case). not sure if that will help with the throttle issue but we'll see. need to take it out for another spin later on.

oil pan is slightly leaking still. may need to get a new oil pan but the leak is minimal so i'm not going to worry about it right now. will keep an eye on the oil level.

after fixing the TPS, the rev-up issue is much better although not totally gone.

drove it and went up to 4k rpms. car pulls pretty strong up to there. can't wait til the motor is broken in (which is going to take me forever, especially since it has new bearings as well). sorry alex, forgot to take sound bite for u. u can come by and hear it in person. =)

No update on the body as that will be the last thing I do. Need to order a new hardline for the clutch as rotorypolo found a leak there I never noticed. Then need to bleed the brakes as well.

new clutch line is installed. no more leak from there.

on a side note, 02 was sent off to be painted. should have it back in a week or 2.

02 was finally finished and has gone to a good home so have started working on the rx7 again.

trimmed the rear fenders for clearance. i did it a bit different than what i have seen done before. instead of cutting the 2 pieces to different heights and then folding one over the other, i simply cut them the same, seam sealed, and riveted them together. why have a fold that could possibly hold water. seam sealed the rivets also. i'll be smoothing it out after the seam sealer dries as it is both sand-able and paint-able.

oh, and i also ordered some rims. 15x8's and 15x10's with a 2 and 3 inch backspace, respectively. i should have it in 2.5 weeks.
