What day is this exactly? All I see is April and 6pm. I would like to meet some of the other RX-7 drivers in SC.

I will be at the Charleston AutoX this weekend running in E stock.

This thread is a bit weird cause theres 2 meets being discussed. Theres the Columbia meet, and there's the "DDRR."

Columbia meet, plan update:
Rx7 meet, Columbia, April 7, 6pm, at Frankies Fun park (I-26 & harbison blvd. behind lowes and Chevy dealership.)
Plan all depends on what ya want to do, example: spend an hr or 2 at Frankies, then eat someplace, NOT STICKY-FINGERS(another hr.), then go to ricer meet behind sonics (also on harbison) usually starts 9:30pm.

DDRR is april 21 (is that right) more details in the "Other Rotary Events" > "DDRR (Deals Gap Rotary Rally)" section.
How are we going to do the caravaning?
Idea: Charleston, Columbia, Spartenburg Crew's meet around Spartenburg, then we all caravan up there together.
What date, place and time next???

Later.

What is the point of a car meet if everyone carpools and leaves their car at home?

If people want a place to camp out in Columbia, there is free camping at the entrance to the Congaree Swamp National Park.

if you meet up at frankie's, the parking lot will be crowded, especially saturday. it probably would be better to initally meet up at the target parking lot or somewhere where thiere is a more space

i think they are talking about up at DGRR, which is a huge annual rotary gathering up in the TN/NC mountainous area on the weekend of april 21st http://www.dealsgaprotaryrally.com/
By "caravan" we mean a caravan of cars (ie rx-7s!), not caravan like a bus full of rotorheads lol

I'm down for a caravan up to DGRR. I will be swinging down through Columbia oon my way up, if anyone wants to meet up there, if not then somewhere in Spartanburg would be cool too. I have yet to meet any of you guys as I am new to this forum, but I look forward to doing so. That weekend will be a lot of fun!

ugghhh.

Finally got a job, at a car lube & tire place, 1st day.

ppl there are all family. exept one other guy. You can feel the teem-work with them too. Nice ppl. They kick ***.

About ***... I fell in the "oil changing pit", early afternoon, hit my *** on the side of the pit, but was able to catch myself and hang on, untill someone helped me up an out, had a pain in the *** the rest of the afternoon, still hurts now.

Irony: one of the guys that works there did the same thing a year ago, but caught his arm on the edge of the pit which dislocated his shoulder, then he fell about 6 feet the floor to the room below, broke his back, and have had many surgery's since. and hes still walking around today. Amazing.

Hopefully I wont injure myself with in the next two weeks so I can go to the meet, and in the next month so I can go the DDRR.

Later.

greatest ricer meet ive ever seen, harbison/ballentine area

There was a total of 4 rx7s and a 12a powered Suzuki Samurai

We got kicked out of harbison around 10pm then went over to foodlion in Ballentine,
where ppl were doing burnouts, a cop came by and gave one of them a ticket or something, then a state trooper came, and yelled "If your not shopping at foodlion, leave now!" This was about 11:45pm.

Ive always seen the results of a meet in that parking lot before but never actually caught one until now.
