Roebling Road? or Sebring? I'm sure if we had enough people the cost wouldn't be that bad.
Just a thought....
Yeah, that's what I was kind of thinking. I know a local shop around here rents out Gainesville Raceway every other month or so and charges people about $150 to run all day. I think that would be a blast. If we can't get everyone's commitement on paying and what not, we could always do a meet at Sebring for one of their events. One may be too early to go (Historic Fall Classic), and the other may be too far away from now (Le Mans 12hr race).

Either way, would be really cool to meet there and check out some action. We could also go to the Rolex 24hr race in Daytona (late Januaray) too!

Rey, awesome pics man, I had a great time out there. Wish I could have made it to your place, but I was hungover and the sun did its job on me. Good to see all of you again, I have been away from the scene for a bit. Definately down for another meet, we need more first gens and old schools out there!

I forgot to mention huge props to Tom (with the montego blue FD). Even with his injury he made it out there, and his car was as clean as ever!

Next time Ill be rolling with my new wheels and FMIC. Thanks to those who put this meet together.

Not a bad pic of my red FC.
I did not realize that was your car. That car is beautiful, I would leave that baby stock, but then thats what I said about mine and I've made my changes. But think about it, its more rare to see something that clean and stock, than to see one with upgrades.

Wow, a trip up to "Da Ville," to race on the tracks would be a blast. I've always wanted to run my car on a track. By doing this, I can get better at handling this unpredictable "lets shift into 2nd while turning, thus almost spinning out in the middle of traffic" car. Automatic by the way.

Very good meet indeed, I had fun meeting everyone there. Lots of cool people to talk to. Lots of nice cars to look at, and one very annoying helicopter to interupt your conversation lol. I got some pictures too, though im not done with the old school camers roll of film yet. ill post up as soon as I fire away the last 3-4 pics. Can't wait till the next meet.

a blow horn for announcements

T shirts give aways

I thought this was supposed to be an all florida event. More people from Fl shouldve shown up. Orlando is the most centralized location for these things.

I was talking with Jimmy for about an hour (owner of IRTB, individual racing throttle bodies) and he said he was going to try to get Kilo out there next year. He had to run at Vegas in like 10 days or so, so he couldn't make it this time. Jimmy also heard of the event only like 3 days prior, so he couldn't do as much as he wanted.

But yea, next year should prove to be very hot, and am already looking forward to it.

I know, that's what we've pretty much always said, but the South Florida owners don't seem to make it up to these meets much, just like Pete said.

Hey Roger, I'd be more then happy to help you out and set something up in the Fall or Winter time since it will be a lot nicer out (end of hurricane season). We have to do whatever it takes to get the commitment from more rotary owners to drive up and stay a lil longer. Just like those Supra meets, 80% of the guys stay the entire weekend and participate on the track/dyno/show, etc. Lets put our brains together and knock the next one out of the park!

The few meets I've attended it's usually people from : Jacksonville, Gainsville, Pensacola, Orlando, Tampa, and Daytona. Not much south of Central Florida. See a pattern here?
