I'm all for driving to Tango's to meet up with the Miami guys, haven't made it down there yet, but just got the 7 back, new exhaust is ready to go

I have a suggestion for the drive as we did last year to extend the drive just a little and get some great footage In and Out of the Beach...

When we head out from Tangos Pizza (Kendall) to take the following Trajectory:

FL Turnpike North to Dolphin Expwy East
The head up I-95 North to the 195 (112 East) to
Alton Rd-Bay Rd South to Mac Arthur Cswy (5th St) and
jump on 395 West to Watson Island.

If we keep it together nice and tight with Two Way Radios it will be very scenic and make for great video. What do you guys/girls think ?

 

Also.... if you have a SOFLA RX CLUB t-shirt then please lets wear them as group to represent.
Remember that there will be people driving and stopping by and it would be nice that we are all uniformly attired.

This next meet is 31 days (1 Month) after the last one that you attended....
How much more ample notice do you need Alex ?

As of yesterday when i posted this Caravan Drive to Watson Island technically there are 17 Days ample notice... Is that not enough time ?

I am not really griping here or am I ? but you seem to have busier schedule than a Doctor on call.

 

If you had read the thread you would have seen that it said that if your name is on the list and you are attending then it stays the way it is ..but if you are not going to make it then just say so. My understanding is that this weekend you are picking up the TII so there is really no reason why you cant go on the Caravan day.. but if you are going to be a NO SHOW.. hey dont worry about... its nothing new ... being that you havent made it to any of the other meets anyway... so no big deal.

Jared "Leatherface24" used to drive a beautiful red FD and then sold it and got the Miata and he still hangs with us.. he was even with us taking the Parade Lap at Homestead Miami Speedway. Since we have been having the meets at TANGOS PIZZA there have been other Miatas that showed up like Carlos "Mazdarati" and Alex 'DelMX6'.. Dennis 'RPM Doctor' has a Blue Miata with a 13B but is too busy to come out to the meets although he did attend one last year at my shop where he did a crazy donut in a red FC w/ FD motor..... Yesterday Hans joined our meet with his White Miata... so at this point I really dont see a problem having them join us. It would be nice if they all had rotary motors... wow that would be something.

 

lol ya picking it up sometime this week or weekend. i was planning on making it, weekends work better sense i don't work on them.

and as for the miatas, you got to love them, there like the little step brother you pick on but love. if i wasn't getting a rx my next pick would be miata

For an "all day" event like this, yes I do need more time. I am a busy man with alot of responsibilities, a family to keep happy, as well as business to run. As much as I love my 7 and the club, it has to wait in line for everything else.

The night of the 20th at Tango's was just a few hours after work. I think even showed up in my work clothes after working all day. Giving
up a precious Sunday for RX related duties doesn't come easy for me.

I've had a destroyed 3rd gear in my car for almost 2 months now, and I STILL haven't had the time to swap my tranny. I have to work around my schedule as well as my friends' schedules who are going to help resolve the problem.

Well, you know I am not a Doctor, but you already know that I travel significantly for business. Every couple of weeks I am out for a few days here and there. I can schedule in advance to attend events, but my plans and itinerary is always set for the next 30-45 days minimum.

On the 20th I will be in town, but I have other priorities which I have to attend to first. But it looks like I won't be missing too much because...

 

directfreak doesn't have to explain anything to anyone on the forum..your lucky he is nice enough to let you guys know he is busy . respect people .

I want this club to grow and when you have veterans and pioneers like Alex that dont show it sets kind of a precedence with the newbies... you know what im saying. take for instance you Juan.. you came to the first meet i had last year at my shop... but we dont see you much... Regino told me you were lazy to drive the other night after having gotten out of work. You are making it to this one right ?

I see that you finally realize that you dont know either Luis... the other night at TANGOS PIZZA you peeled out... you know very well that we have spoken to you about that in the past. That kind of behaviour will only bring trouble and then its gonna blow up our meet at TANGOS PIZZA just because you want to show off.

Do us all a favor and refrain from doing that ... we want to have good meets without all that B.S. you pull ... Think about everyone else for a change and not just about yourself... If you dont think that you can keep it under wraps .. then please dont come to the meets... we dont need that kind of trouble.

 

I appreciate the offer, but it's not because of my car. I can always
go in my truck, 'vert, or another friend's ride if my 7 is down. It's just that I have plans for that specific weekend. Not to mention I would have to ask Tai in advance as well - he's extremely busy as well & he's usually in Orlando 50% of the time for his business.

I would have liked the opportunity to see if we could all could have selected a specific day in the future for this type of event. That way a little more notice could have gone out, and we could have made it an even bigger event. Val usually makes these kinds of plans with over 30 days notice, so I am unfortunately caught off guard this time.
