Well last night was a good night. The rotaries were out in force! It was nice to finally meet some of you, and talk to the owners of these mysterious FC's I've been seeing around lately! Definately a nice crew we're gathering here, and some nice setups in the works... Eat your heart out RRDI!

Sorry I couldn't be there, sounds like you had a great turnout. Now if we can do it another night besides Wednesday. I can make it. Except for Mondays either! I have meetings on these nights. Sucks to be busy in the community sometimes.

We had 8 or 9 cars show up. I believe that is the most RX-7s we've had in one spot in this town as far as I've been here.

Yes I will. Glad to hear the first meet had a great turnout. Ever since we started the RRDI and had Jason and some othe marines drive up to Raleigh when they could and Eric and NIC drive up from Pope and SJ AFBs I knew that there was more than enough interest and more than enough rotaries to get a solid group going. This now gives us another group to plan with and drive with.

We'll see y'all at Seymour Johnson next month for the air show and hopefully there will be enough rotartis dirving in together they'll change the name of the air base from Seymour Johnson to See More Rotaries. :0)

Nah remember the time we had like 15 of them roll out to Best Buy, back when my red TII was still on the road? We'll never outnumber the turbo Civics in this town, but what we lack in numbers, we'll always make up for in style... And exhaust fumes...

Personally I don't think it should be quite so political... Look at the SoFLA RX Club, and all the BS/drama they go through... Maybe come up with a name yea, but I would advise against pushing a designation of responsibility on any single person... Everyone should just work together to organize events, collect funds, etc, and let people volunteer for specific tasks as they come, rather than appointing someone President, Treasurer, etc... If this doesn't make sense, please let me know, but I think everyone will find it alot more fun and relaxing without titles...

i think that we need just one person to be kinda the leader. i think the best person for the job is simba! and just cause hes the leader, doesnt mean we cant all help out with ideas, ect. as far as names.. i have no clue. ill ask some of my freinds what they think.. im not at all creative.

maybe "apex gods" haha

Ghey name... Why not just call it "TrOcHoIdAl FaNtAsIeS" or something ghey like that...

Seriously take it from someone who knows... If you overorganize it, then it will become more like work, and less like fun... That's exactly what a group of fun loving rotorheads doesn't need at all... Everyone should play an equal role, and it should retain a leisurely atmosphere... All work and no play makes Erick a very dull boy!

Oh and btw "kar klubs" don't get much respect around these parts, and that's one of the things that's always separated the rotary enthusiasts from the pack... We don't have to make a club with a name in order to gather and hang out... There is a certain kinship that we have, which is undoubtedly connected to our general role as the outcast amongst other car enthusiasts... We can get together and chill without arguing over who has the fastest or best looking car... We all love these cars for what they are, and the more the merrier!

Look at all the turbo Honda's running around this town, constantly in competition with one another... "Fastest B18 with a stock bottom end, 50mm turbo, street tires, playboy magazine in the glove box, @ 3:30 PM on a cold October day on Western Blvd"... They are all competing against each other!

See it's this very stigma that allows us to be united without actually having a reason, other than our love for each other's cars... If there was to be a name, it should be "Endless, Nameless" because that describes our relationship with each other, and our cars, better than anything else could! Stay unique!

^thats a first.. haha jk. i dunno.. it was just an idea. i just wanted something to put on my back glass. and just because we are a club doesnt mean we have to be like all the ricers.... everybody can just chill, i dont think anyone cares whos car is the fastes ect. we can be a chill club and still have a name. and apex gods was a half joke. something with apex would be cool though. lets not fight before we even get this thing started!

I don't call this fighting...

Keep in mind these opinions are my own and do not express the opinions of anyone but me... lol... I dunno it also kinda cramps your individualism to run around with club stickers... Personally I'm rocking my own stickers on the windows, so I don't think it should be a requirement... Again this is just me, but I've seen what politics can do to a normally fun activity... Rules suck!

at the least think of a name so we can have a southeastern NC thread for ourselves. i honestly don't care about all the hotheads with V6 mustangs and civics running around jville and havelock, it's just a good idea to have an appointed meeting spot so we can talk rotary and bounce ideas off each other.

I agree with Alex. I think we in Jacksonville should model our "club" after the RRDI. Where it's not so much a "club" as it's just a group of people who get together and hang out and have a good time. We can come up with a spot and time to meet each month, and organize cruises and such, but leave the presidents, rules, stickers, and all that bullshit out of it.

I have been in a "car club" before, and it was nothing but drama. Granted that wasn't RX-7 people, I don't think we're like that, but I will still never do it again.

Also, I don't put stickers on my car.

Im down with just meeting up and having fun. I want to become known as another "NEO" or "CCC"( capital city corruptions) im sure you've seen them around. O and uh no offence if anyone is a member of those clubs, but they are gay. RX7's dont need clubs to stand out from a crowd. Everyone knows we are a different breed of car enthuiasts, take it from someone who finally saw the light and will never go back.
