Haha, yeah, it didnt get far. Ill still be working on it a lot to get her together and running. Its going to be an awesome car. Utilizing the custom v-mount setup I had fabbed, has a 60-1 turbo on the way, a t2 motor rebuild by kevin landers, + a lot more goodies...its going to be nice. He bought the TII block for cheap in asheville so keep your eyes open and youll find some steals. Even if its just piecing one together, youll eventually have everything you need for a swap for a good price. Network, network, network

 

dude i cant believe you sold your TII. I might be able to make it to the meet this weekend if all goes well for me this week. she's been sitting for a few months. plus i need to meet with fellow rotorholics.

 

ya, my TII dreams arnt gunna come true anytime soon though lol im beyond broke and still have to fix a few small things on my 7 as it is. but as long as everything gos good ill bring it out saturday so you guys can bag on my 7 cause im not doubting it will be the "worst" one there haha worse case secnerio i just drive another car to at least meet everyone and check out thier cars

so a chain of events has occured which has just shot my plans on bringing my 7 to the meet to the ground. since the car wasnt running for awhile i took the insurance of it so im not paying for a car im not driving. well i went to go put it back on today and there is some bull$*** $200 fine i have to pay. so, with me being the broke hobo i am, looks like i wont be able to drive the 7 to the meet. i will show up though in another car to meet everyone and check out the other cars there.

 

That sucks. Dont feel bad, Ill feel bad enough for both of us since i cant bring my 7 either. In due time...hype it up while you dont have it there lol.

On another note, I find it funny that "gay" is a tag for this thread lmao

Well as usual we a bunch of guy wanting to dictate what kind of car meet then they can't Evan bring what they want to restrict it to. The problem is the same when you go to these oldie car shows they put us out back because we were not build in the USA hope all have fun we won't be there we will be out of town( family sick out of state) and family comes first

 

Sorry for wanting to hang out with rx7 guys although we ARE on rx7club. Because we cant bring them doesnt make us less of owners. If we wanted to hang out with all makes of cars and imports, there are forums and regular meets for that. Getting just rx7 guys together is rare, especially around here. Nobody is holding a gun to anyones head. People will show who want to, to meet other rx7 owners and rx7 enthusiasts. If it were a meet for a mish-mash of cars i doubt it would hold the same level of interest for other members. Call it what you want...exclusion, segregation, elitism...rx7s are a rare enough car to warrant it. Its kind of a given if you bring a new import to a classic or american car show youre going to be put "out back". I dont expect to go to nissan or toyota meets and expect to have something in common or have an rx7 the focus of their meet. If you want to come to a car meet up here i can gladly steer you to one just about every week and ill even go with you.

My 7 will be out even with it running rough. Def need some rotary 101. Slum you should slap on a pa system under that FC, or get a frosted flakes paint scheme.

 

I just stumbled upon this thread, I will be moving down there in august! I'd love to get together with some of the rotary crowd there! I will hopefully have my SA on the road by then!
