Whats up guys? Just thought I would bring this old fossil to the top. Lots of dust in here. Who's still down for a scenic adventure in the mountains?

woot woot! Blue ridge pkwy FTW!!!

Took it on my way to vermont about 3 years ago. stopped by rotorfest afterwards! it is the most amazing drive, and 45 mph is plenty fast, it is so curvy and twisty! You'll find yourself smiling when you realize that for the past 20 minutes you've been constantly turning the wheel from left to right.

yea i got a few somewhere, check www.jadecrew.com... i meant 45 in the nicest way. You get to see all the pretty scenery, deer, bear etc, while still enjoying the driving. plus 45 through the turns which are marked as ~20... ;-)

Well, I guess this will be the last time I bring this to the top, since there no longer seems to be any interest. I for one, are going to do this even if its just me and a few of my local 7 friends. I dont know if the rest of you have made other plans, but I would still like to do this. So if everyone is still interested, great. If not, I guess ill see some of you at the Dragon...if it even happens either.

OK, I guess we will wait and see how things pan out. So you in J'ville full time now? Anyways, I have six people that would like to participate and hopefully the weather will be pleasant.

I believe i have selected 2 over night locations with camping close (i would have to check the schedule again) camping on the parkway is $16 a night for a spot...first come, first serve basis...that is in the camp grounds themselves...but i do also believe road side camping is permitted in alot of the areas...either on the parkway or down on the access roads.

The website has a PDF file to view/DL to see where we are planning to stop and for how long...though these aren't the only stops we will be making, i'm sure.

I plan to head home thursday evening, sleep a good bit of friday morning and head towards Cherokee midday friday to kick this thing off about 3 pm...if we want to think of a location in asheville to meet up and caravan, that would be fine with me...

again, this is the first one so everyone please bear with me and if u come up with any ideas for next year (if we want to do it again) please let me know...

just so everyone knows...here is my view on what i'm looking to get out of this event: a nice, relaxing trip on the parkway with friends. I want to get several pictures of many rx7s at over looks and any other great picture spots we can find. I do not want to have to baby sit anyone or be responsible to ensure they have a good time. We are all adults and able to make our own decisions. This event will be what each person makes it for themselves...if it is me and 2 other cars and we are rained on the whole weekend, i will still have a great time!
