hahahha. .. im sure thats coming. . . thatll be retirement hp goals. im hoping the bug will leave me alone for a while. . . 400rwhp is about all i really care to play with at the moment. . . since my wallet and marriage dont care to afford it anymore.

 

Well unless I can find a loner short block I do not think I will be tuning... Anybody have a core I can use? Or even buy at a reasonable price? I just do not have the time in the next week to pull mine....

How bad of condition is it? What are you wanting for it? I know mine is in decent shape since it still runs but I need one to send off to be built... I just do not have time to pull mine this week and if I can get one sent to Brian asap maybe I can still make the tuning in TN!!! Le tm e know.

 

I wouldn't rush to get it done... that will lead to mistakes and problems that could make everything go wrong.

 

Yeah, I agree.. Just not sure when I will get a chance again at tuning.. Hate to put a motor in and have to wait 6 months for tuning... We will see....

 

mike, have you talked to kevin landers? maybe he can get a core to brian quickly. id love for you to be able to get up here. . . just remember that hell be here for a WEEK. from nov30 to dec06. thats a lot of time. . . you could probably get away with coming up here the last day for some tuning, or bring your car up here on the 30th. . . put it in davids shop. . . have brian ship the motor to davids. . . put it in at davids. . . and go. . . with everyones help. . . we can do it quickly. speeding through things isnt gonna cause a problem if youre still thorough. it typically takes ONE day to do a swap if everything thats going BACK in is within reach. food for thought. . .

well, im assuming youre wanting one of brians ever so popular HBP engines. i dont think (correct me if im wrong) kevin does porting to that extent. if he does. . . rock on!! i personally wouldnt worry about it. . . business is business. . . and i know kevin knows that. . . of course, he doesnt HAVE to sell you an engine, but he did post that he had basically good cores laying around.

Paul, I am not going to put any rush on Brian. I would love to get it here and do the swap, drive it and tune it by Dec. 6th!!! But I want to do it right and not over look or skip anything. The core will get to him by the end of nbext week. That only gives him a week and a half so its not looking good. BUT if he does get it to me I may take you up on that offer. I have my turbo, manifold, DP, MP, radiator, alt and a few other items already pulled off so I would just put it on a trailer and bring it up!! Would make for a very fun weekend!!!

 

I could really use the tuning but my car will not be back together in time and I dont have the extra money for the tuning ba humbug
