I use to auto-x here in Miami, but I could never afford tires and the such and It wasnt much fun running against the z06s, also by now my car is probably in a different class.

Check out the following link. The group is part of the Sunriders Miata Club and put together a monthly autocross event at the St. Pete Allstate Campus.

At the Sunriders autox, there are some 7s, on and off, maybe one per event. The limited and generalized classes used seem to put a N/A 7 at a disadvantge. For example, the Novice Street Tire class could include any vehicle running street tires and a driver that has done less than 5 autoxs. So, it is possible for a N/A 7 to be up against anything. That said, if you're not heavy caught up in "winning" it can still be a good time and a way to gain experience.
