August 27th - Central Florida meet in Orlando
OK, I guess it's official. If you all don't like it - tough. Find somebody else to be in charge.
What: Central Florida Rotary Meet
Where: Race Rock
8986 International Drive
Orlando, FL 32819
When: Saturday, August 27th, 2005 at Noon
The plan so far is lunch at Race Rock and then a little go kart action afterwards. I'm sure we might think of more things to do before the event.
So, request the day off if you have to, organize your caravans, and make sure the car actually runs, m'kay?
See you then.

Thanks so very much Jerry for taking charge. It ALWAYS comes down to one man's initiative to make any of these events actually materialize.
As for dyno runs, unfortunately the pessisimist in me precludes runs outsite of the radius defined by $100 tow truck charge to get the car home. Not that I learned that by experience or anything...

Sweet, I'm taking that day off. I'll be there, and I'll make a call to my buddy and see after we're done with all the go karting fun we may be able to get some pulls.
BTW: Can we get a sticky ikie?!

Not yet, but I don't see that as a complete necessity. We're just a large group. We can still give them advanced warning.
And if enough people want a dyno session, by all means schedule one. We can adjust the schedule a little if need be, but hopefully, the dyno could be done a little earlier in the morning.

We should definitely try and get a caravan over to Orlando though. At least we don't have to go all the way through Orlando, because I really dislike I-4!

Guess i'll get a caravan going from Jax then
Make sure to contact racerock, they were able to section off a part of the parking lot for us last year. Also, i would contact the go kart track and make sure we can all get on that SOB. As for Dyno pulls, make them kinda late, cuz last time it ended up dividing the group, which kinda sucked IMHO.

Ok, I just talked to my boy and if we can get a commitment of atleast 5 people we will be able to dyno after we're all done with go-karts.
Details:
$35 for 3 pulls, I believe wideband would be a lil extra.
Minimum of 5 cars, since they'll have to stay open late for us
Deposit will be required, if we get 5 people to commit.
Here's the type of dyno that they have. You may have seen it used on TV on the show Horse Power TV.

Supposedly it reads more accurate numbers then a Mustang and Dyno Jet dyno. I might strap my car there this Friday to see for my self. BTW, that's not his shop pictured. He has a top of the line shop, with plasma screens on the walls so you can watch Option1 vids

^ that's what I'm saying. I think our lil mini meets around here we've gotten like 15-20 cars, so I know we can get a bigger turn out. Lets get a head count going.
1. JerryLH3 - 91 Turbo II (Jerry)
2. G's 3rd Gen - 93 Silver FD (Garrett)
3. Carlos Iglesias - CYM FD
4. SilvioRX7 - 94 Montego Blue FD (Silvio)
5. FD Rey - 93 VR FD (Rey)
6. Turbo Timmy - 87 White TII (Timmy)
7. RX8 Honey - RX-8
8. pianoprodigy - 93 Montego Blue FD (Alan)
9. manny34711 - 93 VR FD (Manny)
10. JaNusSolSumnus - maybe in his 93 Montego Blue FD (Kris)
11. twinturborx7pete - 93 AW FD (Pete?)
12.
I know some of the other local guys will probably make it. Harrison aka Vspecgt, Aldo racerxrx7, Josh Greene, David in his TII, and a few other guys that don't frequent the board often.
