From what I've seen over the past, Jack's a standup dude.

But there's a situation brewing where a customer of his needs his parts back:

Is anyone local who's friends with him out there? If possible go pick up the parts for him to help a fellow forum member out

 

I know Jack. Let me call him and see what is going on. For there to be any problems would be very out of character for him.

I do not know what is going on. No one is able to get in direct contact with him and phone calls have gone unreturned. From what I was told he didn't make a car show that he normally shows up at either.

I am happy to expedite getting the parts back to the individual who is owed them but I have to get a response back from Jack first. I know that I have PM'd him with no response.

I've not gotten return phone calls. He was supposed to meet me at Sebring and split hotel room... no show to that either. Anyone know how to check if he's in jail???

 

Hope hes ok, Jacks a great guy. I talked to him about 2 months ago and he told me he was extremely busy with parts and polishing.

 

I too hope he is ok. I would think that something is wrong if he is not showing anywhere he normally does. He didn't respond to me either about a local gathering. Hope he is ok. Any other Gainesville locals who can check in on him to see if he is ok??

I'm the member that was having a problem getting my parts back. I had heard nothing from Jack for almost two months, even though he was logging on to the site. Naturally that would make anyone suspicious. I tried and tried to get Jack to respond to my PMs, with no luck. I asked other members who had done business with him to help me out, still no luck. I then asked a moderator for help. I know Jack was banned in some way, but to what extent I am not sure.

Recently (past week and a half) Jack has contacted me, and done everything in his power to get me my parts back. I would assume he contacted me based on what happened with him and the moderator and to keep from tarnishing his name any further. The parts are scheduled for delivery tomorrow, at which point all of my dealings with Jack will be over. I will choose to take my business elsewhere from now on, but if anyone were to ask me about his work, I can only tell them the truth. I'm not going to go out of my way to burn him though. Time to move on.

Mike, we are glad that you have come to closure. For many of us, we were concerned more with his well being than with your parts. Please don't take that the wrong way. It's just that we know Jack to be a standup guy and him not standing up to his agreement is out of character.... this is why we were worried. We didn't know if he was sick, hurt, out of state, or whatever.

Anyways, I'm glad that he is squaring up with you, and that you are getting your parts back.

I can appreciate caring for ones well being, and I can't hold that against how you guys feel. I am not debating whether or not he is or was a stand up guy, just that it seems strange to me that he could log on to this web site and not respond to another member's PMs about where or what the status was with those parts. I feel that I am not in the wrong, but I am not going to wave a pitch fork in the air asking for his expulsion.

No hard fellings. I understand where you are coming from. I would feel the same way if I had my parts being done somewhere and hadn't heard from them in a while. Being that I am 3rd party to the situation and don't know the details of what exactly transpired, I cannot jump to conclusions. We're just glad he's ok and that you are getting your parts back. I don't fault you for wondering what's up.
