The Clemson Sports Car Club (of which I'm the president... pimp) is holding their annual Clemson Motorsports Festival, with a twist this year- it's being held right in the middle of Greenville, SC! The event will consist of a car show and an autocross, with autocross registration maxing out at around 80 and a couple hundred car show spots.

RX7club will get special recognition if it is the first club to pledge attendance to either event!

I will actually be in Clemson this day in a Air Force ROTC competition against Clemson and other schools in the Southeast. Now to find a way to slip away to this....

 

Unfortunately, the event will be about 45 minutes from campus... but I'd still love to see a strong rotary showing in the car show or autocross!

Ehhh, technically a v8 isn't a rotary . I'll definitely get some other people though. There's plenty of interested people at BMW - are there any other sorts of discounts?

 

Lol I try not to make it too public around here that I'm ls swapping my fb. The club owns two fb's for autocrosing, one is still rotary powered and the second will be getting a 5.0 soon. But anyway, any group of 10+ that you can get together, whether it's rx7club or monkeyspass club, will get a discount and recognition.

 

So are there any fairly stock 1st gens going? I may bring my. Gsl-se but I don't want to be the only one lol.

 

since there having an autocross, the club car will be there.

 

We'll have at least one club owned FB there, it's fairly stock drivetrain-wise, partially stripped, on RA1s and Konis. I don't think we will have the 5.0 FB finished by then but it won't have any suspension upgrades if it does. We have an FD that regularly autocrosses with us that's got a lot of work done on it, as well as an FE that is set up like the club FB.

Don't worry at all about showing up in a stock -SE, we also have bone stock automatic Civics and this guy with an obnoxious GTO that regularly autocross...
