9th Annual "Churrazco Meet" @ Markham Park Saturday Nov. 2nd @ 1 PM

9th Annual Rotary Meet at Markham Park. Bring freinds and family. Most important, bring a rotary powered car or a previously rotary powered car with a different powerplant (We Don’t discriminate….we may not like it, but we will still give you love) . if you don't have a rotary powered car and love rotary's this event is for you. Everyone is welcome. No food or drinks will be served. Please bring your own food and drink to the park or eat and drink before you get there.

This is the biggest Rotary Powered Vehicle Meet in South Florida. I don't know of any other this size. We usually have between 50-70 cars.

Grrrr, all car meets always land on the weekends I'm scheduled to work! I missed out last year because I found out about it after the fact, so I will try to make it this year just to check out all the rotaries!

If I do end up being able to go, I'll be going with my FC, even though it's not in its best shape. I'm still crying over my newly-acquired door ding from last month...

When will the meet end? Or at least scheduled end time?

Yep.... it sure is.....

This meet started 9 yrs ago and for the 1st few yrs we would always ask everyone to bring food items and BBQ some churrasco ( hence the name of the event ). Then Simon started sponsoring the event by buying ALL the meat and he just asked that people who attended and ate some food to PLEASE donate $5 so he could give it to charity.

As it ALWAYS turns out, alot of people would show up and eat without donating, thus putting ALL the cost on Simon. So as you can probably figure out, Simon NO longer sponsors the event by supplying this "Churrasco" but the name of the event will stay the same since that is how it all started.....

That is the story how the event got it's name..

Also Jorge got a food truck to attend the event. It's typical Puerto Rican food, mofongo, alcapurias, etc etc

for those that are interested. We are gonna meet up at the corner of 183rd & 87th ave. just off of miami gardens exit theres a carrabbas grill, Sedanos, and BP (for landmarks) where we all meet last year. between 11-12 as for the lower soFla boys like myself and some others homestead/perrine we are still working on a local for that meet anyone else down here feel free to chime in for a spot to meet.
