We need to clarify this is a rotary event.
While i feel that everyone is welcome to attend, personally I feel this is not your typical car show or a mazda car show.

GT-Rs, SC300s, and Mazda 3's are not part of the event. I am not interested in seeing these cars during the picnic. If you plan on driving a vehicle that does not meet the above criteria, youre more than welcome to attend, however your ride is not really considered part of the event.

Im not at all trying to be a snob, but a lot of planning went into this to make this an exclusive event. Of course everyone wants to see RX7s and everyone wants to be part of the action. However if you are not rotary powered or have a RX prefix attached to the back of your car, you're really just a guest, and you're welcome to attend, but not show your car!

I'm not the organizer nor am i a rule maker, however I will be extremely aggravated if i see a GT-R parked next to me. Please park somewhere else.!

you really have it out for the mazda 3 crew huh? it seems your comments were geared towards them, if they are not, i apologize. i think they did a stand up thing by post-poning their meet. they were also very welcoming to us at their meet last year. i only hope we make them feel as welcome at our meet.

if you read the original post, everyone that loves rotary's is welcome, even if you dont have a rotary powered vehicle. hell, last year was the first year my car was at the meet. what if your car was broke and you had to drive your E class. i personally think its a bad *** car and i would not mind if you parked it next to my car. i know you wouldn't but if you did, i would not say a thing.

in the past years, those that come w/o a rotary powered car usually park away from the rest of the cars. i am sure they will do the same this year. i am not, nor is anyone else going to dictate where people park. if you want to play traffic cop during the meet, have at it, becasue i'm not.

No need to apologise, you call em like you see it. You are right as the list of 5 on our list did provoke my post. However I did see a GTR pop up before they posted and the thought did cross my mind this may happen.

I agree with this statement, it was a standup thing to do, however I'm disappointed we will lose our exclusivity as we were privileged in the past.

Two years ago my car was broke bc of the tune at pettit and I brought my Black AMG. I parked it in BFE. Why?
Bc to me it was inappropriate. No one told me it was, but i was new to the game and out of respect I didn't want to tread on any toes.

Its your meet, you organized it. If you say other cars are welcome, while I dont agree with it, i'll live with it. Out of all the car events that we attend, this is the only one reserved exclusively for us. I'm bummed because we (in our group)have worked very hard to get ppl from across the state to attend.

This is intended to be a ROTARY meet and all ROTARY powered cars should be parked in the same area while the other cars in attendance should be in another area.

It doesn't mean we won't look or take any pics of the other cars. I for one am an avid car enthusiast and love all different types/models of cars. It simply means we don't want it to turn into a regular meet or car show where all makes and models begin to invade on the exclusivity that we have come to enjoy from our Wankel powered wonders.

As stated before... This is the 1 meet we Rotary addicts in S. Florida look forward to every year and if it turns into a regular meet/show then it becomes dull and WE want to feel SPECIAL...

The yearly Markham meet was more or less a rx7 meet.which people always brought a few other cars out because our cars are attractive to the owners of the other brands..No ones trying to steal your spotlight or ruin the Damn meet as you
make it sound.ill personally make sure the gtr doesn't park near your rotary as u mentioned .and ill throw in the owner of that gtr was a little national coverage on our annual meet.

its true if i wanna go to a all motor event then ill just go to HIN or SFLMC but this is ALLL ROTAR and my first all rotar event so it would be the best if we keep in with no pistons .... that does not mean the spectator need to come in a skateboard or a bike just dont park in the RX area

 

This is exactly what I did not want. Everyone knows that it is a rotary event. Not everyone will bring a rotary powered vehicle. We have done this for 6 years now and everyone that does not bring a rotary powered vehicle parks away from the rotary powered cars. It is out of respect. It will be no different this year. Let's end this discussion about parking please. As the organizer of this event I kindly ask that if your name is on the list and you don't bring a rotary powered car, please park it away from our cars. Thank You.
