I made directions for our out of town guests

Note:
Heading west on I595
You must exit I595 West at 136th Street and cross across the intersection (do not turns) keep straight on the SR 84 frontage road
Go under the I75 overpass and proceed to the second intersection and make a right.
Pay the park fee of $1.50 and go straight ahead and cross the bridge
We meet on the left.

It is actually 136 AVE but they have built an exit after 136 AVE that goes straight to the light in front of the entrance to Markham.

I will drive by tomorrow and get the exact number/name to the exit so I can post updated info...

No he is correcting my 136th st which should be 136 ave
and joe is right, there is a exit for Weston Road right under the I75/I595 interchange. Its brand new and i only go out west for the hockey games so I did not know that

I had a question about the actual meet... Where exactly is the 'meet' taking place? e.g. where are people parking / hanging out?

There's a list of shelters here:
http://www.broward.org/PARKS/MARKHAM...aygrounds.aspx

I assume one of them will be 'homebase', I just don't know which one.

Anyone know for sure?

you cannot miss the meet. no pavillion is rented. when you pay the $1.50 to get into the park you will come to a stop sign. go straight through the stop sign over the first bridge. we will be on the right or the left hand side. i will post which side when i get there in the morning. again, you cannot miss us!

Good question, is there anything near by to grab something to eat or should we pack here in our hometowns? I am sure taking some snacks for the trip but I just need to have an idea of how much :-)

Thanks
Jimmy

There are places close by to make a burger run or beer run or whatever.
The park is close to plenty of shopping centers and a Publix etc..etc...

Ok... So no pavilion means bringing Hot Dogs / other stuff to grill is NOT a good idea - or will there be grills for use?

I'm going to take the turnpike because 95 is about an hour more of driving for me. However, I think I may have convinced my dad to go.
