Just watched the news. Weather is supposed to be "Slightly better than today." Today was hardly any rain at all. Marlins played an awesome game. You guys make it sound like you never have driven your 7 in the rain (if there even is any). As long as we aren't there literally standing in the rain, I bet it will be real good. I for one will definitely be going (without 7 ). I hope to see all of you there.
-Chris
Edit: If the Gold Rocket can "brave" the rain, I'm sure your daily drivers and weekend warriors can make it

I saw the weather channel and from the looks of it its going to be a better day than what we had on saturday... so i am still going along with the meet... let's see how many people actually show up... I am not afraid of the rain so if it does then Oh Well...
I still plan on having coffee and bagels for the die hards and real Mad Max Warriors who take it to the streets no matter what opposition they may face..
It's not like "The Wizard of Oz" and the wicked witch of the west .. we are not going to melt.

I know I personally will not be attending tomorrow, due to weather.

Dont tell me that you are one of these Miami drivers that once it starts raining you put your hazards on.... I hate those types of drivers... like the ones that dont use turn signals or make those lazy wide *** turns at intersections...
I have been living in Miami since 1985 and not one accident have i had... why is that ? because i know how to drive.

Hey Ya'll
I want to thank the people who were instrumental in making this 3rd Installment of the Miami RX7 Club Meet in Key Biscayne today.
These Men and Women.. The Few , The Proud, The Valiant Ones that fought hard against opression and depression (as in Tropical Storm Arlenes Rain that did not fall). I am extremely grateful that you were not swayed by some of the negativity that was obviously expressed by Directfreak on the forum's post concerning the mathematical equation relating to rain+RX7's= Wrecks or something to that effect. If one single thing was the topic of conversation at this sunday's June 12th RX7 Meet in Key Biscayne was Directfreaks mathematical post last night.
Our day started slow with only 7 people that showed up in Kendall such as:
Chris "SikoPath"
Ariel Maza "2ndGenRX7"
Abel Maza :MazaRacing"
Lester "No Name"
George "PORNSTAR"
Philip "AIC Rotary"
Ariel "Mexican Desperado"
We had breakfast bagels w/ cream cheese, Coffee, Orange Juice and cookies. We headed out about 10:30 am on our way to Dolphin Mall to meet up with a newcomer to the club by the name or Rosi.. a very attractive woman from Brazil and her pristine immaculate you can eat off 1991 Mazda RX7 Convertible with 3,800 original miles. What a treat to see this vert .. as well as she was .. Rosi was accompanied by her good friend Rick who was instrumental in acquiring this one of a kind clean vert. Luis "Dragon" , Oscar"Spoolin...", Alejandro "Zorro" formerly known as "AZFUK" was also present along with Alain who is not on the forum but has a bangin' 3rd Gen with front nose kit that is awesome.
We proceeded onward to SR 836 Expwy east being filmed for some great footage courtesy of MOI; Val "Zondervan RX7" as well as Ariel"Mexican Desperado" and Philip "AIC Rotary" also picked up some great footage each. We stepped up the pace with no rain in sight [Directfreak] up the I-95 North towards the 195 East where Sunnie "MazdaGirl81" joined the Caravan. The transition was so choreagrahed that everything seemed to fall into place. No one was lost at all. I would get constant phone calls from some of you who were more worried about looking out the window and seeing a dark cloud than just confronting the Rain Demon and joining us.
We proceeded alongside Alton Road South at a slow pace of 30 MPH as the sign says and the cops that could pose a potential problem but none arose.. thank God for that. There was some moving in and out of lanes that can be expected of Rotary Heads on the expressway but it was great and all in good taste. People would ride alongside with us because it looked great to have been able to see RX7's all in a line.. one single line at times and it just looked fantastic!!!
We made it back around to the 395 Mac Arthur Causeway (5th St Cswy) towards the I-95 without a miss.. all in control... to our exit for the Key Biscayne toll booths... we made our way to Hobie ? right before the big bridge and rode amongst the trees and the natural scenery that was to be had.. Roland called me and was ready to join our caravan as we headed on our ascent up the bridge to the other side of the hill which was to be our location. We drove.. made some noise... made boost sounds and people were watching... it was great.. we found a great place to park right next to two concessions stands where Hot dogs and refreshments were being sold... All of the RX7's on the side all in a line.. what a picture perfect line as well as the great weather that we were having.. it was phenomenal..
A few other people showed up such as :
Gato Racing
Albert (Phil's friend)
Ali "OneFlyTrini" and his girlfriend Alicia
Paul "Lucky.."
Edgar " Mazdapros"
I heard that Alex Lopez of Lopez racing showed up in the afternoon and caught by surprise Roger "RX7theone" and I bet that must have been a very interesting meeting of the minds if you have been following the posts.
I had to leave early and catch a ride with Lester since i did not have my vert for this event...
Once again I wanted to thank all of those who showed up to this meet in Key Biscayne whose participation was so important to make it as successful as it turned out to be despite all of the excellent weather and sunshine that we had Directfreak...
Be well and be blessed and hope to catch at our next meet which should be next month rain or shine...
Regards,
Val "Zondervan RX7"
