I need to find someone in the area of Orlando, FL that can do work on Turbo RX7's and know what they are doing and won't charge an arm and a leg.

Places around here i've found are really overprice and deal with street racers with honda's and that whole scene we all want to keep away from.


I am a standstill, I've google'd, I've gone though yellow pages. Does No one work on rotarys in Orlando???!?


Thanks ahead of time. I'm really at a dead end here and I don't have time anymore to order parts and do the work myself.

What kind of work are you talking about? That might help also

 

I wouldn't exactly recommend Ortiz. I'm pulling apart one of his motors right now.

Friggin crazy frankenstein s5 with s4 manifolds. broken bolts, wrong bolts, wrong clamps breaking hoses, goofy work-arounds for his mess ups. Wouldn't suprise me to see apex seal springs put in up-side-down inside the motor.

If your going to have work done by him, I'd recommend double checking all his work before leaving the lot.


If you want a good mechanic, I know of one in Sanford. He's gotten a lot of flak here on the forum, but I personally take my car to him and can see that he does good work. If you'd like, you can come see my car to see the work he does before you go all the way to see him.

 

Looking for rear end work, maybe new diff. or fix the thudding in the rear end, i replaced the rear diff mount and it still thuds in the rear just not as much.

 

orlando has some of the best rotary mechanics of anywhere. how did no one mention KILO?

fuego is by far the least exspensive. he has a bad rep, but he does good work. and theres a new shop call Delerium next to Gato Performance on Michigan ave. there was a couple of nice meets/dyno days there.

All he does is build chassis for race cars.
He welded up my rear diff with a special brace so now its almost impossible to break, plus its easily removable. He also changed my subframe bushings for a very reasonable price.

You really don't need a rotary specialist for a rear end job..but there are TONS in the area.

 

I've been going to Kilo for the last ten years on all my sevens ( 3- 2nd gens) , He's done from steel braided oil cooler hoses install , two clutch replacements, diff work, to a full rebuild ,with all new internals, no problems. He might not be the cheapest around , but you're paying for quality work.

Remember , you get what you pay for. If you go cheap then you get a job that you'll wonder how well it will hold.

 

Yeap, I like Kilo, he is very honest and knows his work. He does quality work. Also, Turbo Timmy did you used to have a red TII back in late 90's?
