20B10AE might be for sale

Basically, the last thing I ever wanted to do might have to happen. My income for the last 8 months has been absolute garbage from Porsche, and for some reason, I'm not getting any business through my performance parts. Due to this, I'm getting that feeling of drowning.

The car isn't currently running due to a bad starter and what I think is an as yet unlocated wiring issue to the ECU. I know the E11 is fine because I just sent it off to Haltech to be diagnosed. It was running fine before I pulled the harness out to check a few things, so once the wiring is taken care of, it should be fine.

I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to ask for the car as yet, but the price will obviously be a bit lower if the Work wheels are not sold with it. For a look at the car go to http://performanceconceptsonline.com/pics/20B10AE

If you want a list of mods, shoot me a PM. If you are interested, feel free to suggest a price but I will not entertain lowball offers.

Thanks.

Reese

Thanks for the positive comment. I understand about the kids, which is the only reason I'm not going to make you buy it! LOL.

Well said. I'm actually sad to see that it might go to a new owner.

Send money. My paypal address is...

At the moment, I'm trying to figure out what I can do to better my financial situation. As I mentioned, the performance parts thing isn't doing ANYTHING right now, so it's costing me money. Porsche parts doesn't pay a hell of a lot since there aren't that many Porsche owners in this town.

Other than someone buying the car (which, by the way, is the last thing I want to do), suggestions for bringing in more money would be great.

It's kind of cool/interesting that I've been getting PMs from peple I don't even know showing support and telling me not to sell it. The level of brotherhood is amazing!

Reese, if there is anything I can do let me know bro. If I can scrounge up some extra money I'll send it your way. Just not sure what I have to spare at the moment. I'll start whoring out the name of your shop and hopefully get some guys to start buying parts. Is your mortgage paid off yet?? I'll also check the one civilian connection I still have at Charleston AFB to see if he could get you in the door as an aircraft electrician. The pay wouldn't be mind blowing, but I can promise it's more than you make now. I'm here for you and will do anything that I can to help you keep your baby.

As much as zach talks about you and this car it makes me sad to see you are considering parting ways. I hope you find a way to keep it. Best of luck Reese!

Many thanks to the NorCal crew.

Holly, Porsche doesn't even allow for sick days, much less allow me to take a week off 2 months before I'm even allowed vacation time. Besides, the gas money alone would kill me.

Perhaps IF I'm able to keep the car, I'll save money up so that I could take a full week off next year and drive out then. I'd have to have a co-pilot in order to make the drive, but that shouldn't be too hard!

I know that we're not supposed to advertise here, but if anyone needs any performance parts, get in touch with me and I'll see what I can do. If you don't need anything, just keep your fingers crossed for me!

heh, I've already bought 1 FC from a friend so he could buy it back in the future when he get on his feet ( he just graduated from college and couldn't afford the gas and also mods it needed). I was thinking the same here. I don't need another car since I have 3 RX-7's, but just wanted to try to help. Hell, I want him to keep it, but also don't want him to just sell it to anyone since we go back aways.

Actually, that's not a bad idea. If you had to sell it Reese, come up with a do-able price. Then it's possible that someone in the SC crew could step up and buy it until you could afford to buy it back. That is very possible!

Reese,

Looking at the Performance concept's page, it leaves a little to be desired as far as what all product lines you can get for us. Why not list it on here what products/ vendors you get for us. I doubt Ren would scold you to hard for that Plus it would let more people know about it than them e-mail you for info.

Tim, I agree that the page is garbage. That comes along with my not being any good at web pages. LOL.

Here is most of my product availability:

5 Zigen, ACT, AEM, Apexi, Autometer, Bogart, Eibach, Fiber Images, GReddy, Haltech (including the new E8), Heatshield Products, HKS, JIC Koni, Microtech, MSD, PWR, Tein, Tial, Turbosmart, TurboXS, Volk and I can also get Work wheels.

If there is something specific you're looking for, let me know. If you aren't sure what you need, I'll be happy to work with you do figure it out!

Wow... Holy crap Reese this is odd. I come here to mess around a little and see this thread being the top one for the SE section. My thoughts were: "What's going on with Reese?!" thinking you'd just gone insane or something. That really sucks about your situation man... I do hope you can find some way to get back on your feet and all.

Whenever my car gets finished at the bodyshop I'll need to be getting a catback. I'll probably still be trying to get it through you man Thought right now I need to get a job to replace the one I got laid off of. I was apparently bad luck because machines broke and several of us became unneeded haha.

Another nice thing for the page might be doing something about giving little descriptions and prices for things I just always assumed you were unfinished on the page haha.

Good luck again though man.

Tim, I'll get back to you on weight. They fit the second gen fine as long as you have wider fenders up front. The back is perfect, IMO. +15 and +30 offsets. They cost me $2300.
