Hey guys,aren't we here to help people be more knowlegable about our RX7's,i'm embarrased to read this thread were everyone is throwing this kid under the bus,you should have given him facts about RX7's unless you don't know alot about them either,when i'm out at a race,or cruise in or even at a grocery store in my RX3-SP,i get all kinds of reactions and questions,but instead of laughing at people's lack of knowledge,i will answer their questions and set them straight about the myths of the engines.

 

Nice video, I'll have to check my FD to see if it has a V6 though. What if it's carbed? I can't turbo my V6 motor then?

 

Pport, I agree with you that we should be helping people learn more about the car. However, I think one of the reasons people are disappointed is the fact that he went ahead and bought the car without, from what it sounds like, doing any research before hand. From the way it appears in the video, theres going to be one more RX-7 off the road sometime in the near future, especially if he keeps revving his "4 cylinder rotary engine to 10 grand." That kind of attitude is pushing the RX-7 closer to extinction.

Then again, it's his car to do whatever he wants with and who am I to judge? I'm no Felix Wankel and I still have a lot to learn for myself. That being said, I'm off to change the cams on my V6 3rd gen.

I don't help those that are not willing to help themselves. If anyone asks me about the # of pistons on my car I say:
