Stumbled upon a series of 3 videos on youtube. Its in japanese but you get the gist. can someone explain what they were doing referring the fighter aircraft to their designs.

The Japanese Zero was a fighter that relied on lightweight. The success of the aircraft was based on the fact that they reduced as much weight as possible. This is also seen in the RX-7.

I search YouTube every so often for RX-7 videos and I have never came across any of these videos, Thanks for sharing!

 

They also copied ideas from the chassis of the zero, i.e. ways the zero shaved weight.

 

Nice find. Never seen these before.

And wow. that last video makes the look like it came with a lift kit.lol.

 

Mistubishi did the same with their Evo 6. They even have a Evo 6 Zero Fighter edition
