Veilside?

Has any one seen the Veilside Fourtune model in person? Can you even buy the kit?

YES!> u can buy the kits. but do u want to spend 11k and labor for installation.. and paints...??? will cost u $$$$

RE-Amemiya 03-31-08 06:51 AM

No, i've never seen it in person.

Yes, you can buy it...and there's actually quite a few people on here who have the kit.

VeilSideBrian 03-31-08 11:45 AM

I have seen THAT specific car in person.
I like it.
I wish I had one.
You can buy the kit from us.

paganizondadude 03-31-08 01:21 PM

SWEET! That is one of my dream cars then. I want that body kit but it will cost me like 15+k to even have them put on. haha.

VeilSideBrian 03-31-08 01:23 PM

Yeah, it definitly isn't cheap!
But, I'd rather pay a good shop to install it than a cheap shop that would mess it up.

paganizondadude 03-31-08 01:25 PM

Ya exacly.

A good shop= lots and lots of $$$$

Blackadde/// 03-31-08 01:42 PM

That kit is total "ricer"imo, but it is kind of cool to see it in person.

This was a touge meet in NorCal last year. The owner was driving it hard even on shitty roads which was cool. :icon_tup:

VeilSideBrian 03-31-08 03:25 PM

Out of curiosity....what makes it "ricer"?

Funkspectrum 03-31-08 03:36 PM

I've driven the red and black one....

mrb63083 03-31-08 03:37 PM

I absolutely hate it.

paganizondadude 03-31-08 04:52 PM

OK. To settle this.

That car is reallllllly cool. I dont care who you are. It looks awesome.

It may be ricey but hey... you get more people giving you thumbs up like that.

Blackadde/// 03-31-08 06:54 PM

A person who makes unnecessary modifications to their import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster.

just my opinion of the fortune kit, don't get offended. :beerchug:

bosscobra 03-31-08 07:33 PM

ok im not a fan of flashy body kits but the fortune kit is acually a functional kit. i believe its been wind tunnel tested, have to ask brian on that one tho. and at the very least allows u to shove monster tires under the car wich by itself dramaticly helps with traction. so yes its flashy, but far from "rice". its not a honda with a pointless huge wing. and a wide body with crappy offset momos or some shit. and the fd owners that put this kit on thier car im sure have splurged a bit under the hood as well. just my 2 cents

WorkmanGT 03-31-08 08:51 PM

maybe get rid of all those exposed rivets. Don't like the two tone simply because of the fast and the furious. I'd love to see one a darker color. Personally, I think its ricey, but I'd pimp it.

bosscobra 03-31-08 10:05 PM

i agree. if i ever got one, rivets would be moled over or somthing to hide them. and i would probably go black with a dark candy blue for the second color, somthing subtle

jmeyer93 03-31-08 11:38 PM

i think that kit is sick. i would definately get one if i could afford it

paganizondadude 03-31-08 11:45 PM

p

paganizondadude 03-31-08 11:45 PM

The kit is fine the way it is. It is awesome!

Veilside made it perfect.

1.3Ldreamcar 04-01-08 12:17 AM

I want to know if someone has done a 700hp 20B build.... IMO this kit NEEDS a 20B under the hood! The no doubt hundreds of pounds of extra body, and wheel/tire mean only one thing.... Beefy engine!

pics anyone??!?!?!

bosscobra 04-01-08 12:34 AM

in the v8rx7 forums someone is building a ls1 fortune kit

paganizondadude 04-01-08 12:50 AM

Why replace the rotary?

bosscobra 04-01-08 01:46 AM

i wont get into a v8 vs rotary arguement. different strokes for different folks. some like the tourqe without spending alot on a 20b. parts for them are cheap. u can build a 650rwhp ls1 and have it last 100k miles, a rotary is nice because yes u can get that power. minus the torque, there simple. unique and fun to drive. but at that power level. you will never get 100k miles on it. i love both options. so i dont care either way , id like to have one of each at least. but lets keep this thread on topic and end it at that.

paganizondadude 04-01-08 01:53 AM

Haha. No lets not. I would rather have an ls7 than any rotary. I mean... 505hp STOCK... and it will last like 200,000 miles.
