I don't know about ripping them apart. The RX7 pulled ahead but it looked pretty close to even from what I could see.

 

Man, 4 times the engine and still can't pull ahead!

in the last pul that SC lexus just let off cuz he said he already lost! Im not a hater by any means and vid shows that a V8 in a light body like a FD works wonders. Myself though would go with a 20b. BUt to each his own, respect where it's deserved

 

When that LS1 beats Ernie T or Jay7 or TurboTommy, or someone equivalent I will give it more respect. It does sound nice though.

 

It looks like the mildly modded n/a v8 hung just fine with those cars, I don't know maybe I'm missing something here??

 

Visit a drag strip sometime, plenty of lsx powered vehicles around that would wipe the floor with them Some of you guys really need to get out more!

 

Thats my old car. I sold it to Josh a few months ago. I actually dropped it off at Hinson Supercars for him. Keep in mind that he was running on just the motor and his car is setup on a nitrous tune. He made 414whp/380tq n/a, and high 500whp/low 600tq on the bottle. He can't use the nitrous on the street at any speed less than 120 cause it just blows the contisport tires away. With stickier tires and the bottle, those races would have been VERY ugly.

Mildly modded are the key words here. Not even full basic bolt ons.

These things have hit high 10 second passes with stock ls1's in them, and schooled Vette's, Porsche's, etc on road courses on stock supension. Take what money a t66 kit for a 2JZ would cost and buy a Procharger, or Turbo kit for the LSx and see how most any street driven 2JZ fares against it. People knock these engines/swaps from sheer ignorance alone, I mean what is there to knock about a car (any car) running a near STOCK engine competing with the likes of 6-700 hp cars???

I can appreciate any car that performs well, no matter the make or engine.

my brothers evo stayed with a formula WS6 with cams and few bolt ons and also chipped ecu +100 shot of nitrous. MY bro won then it was even on the 100 shot until 140 mph+

My brothers evo only has bolt ons. HE has upgraded front mount. STOCK turbo. Full exhaust and dyno tuned stock ecu flash.
