even being a repost... it's always worth watching a V8 getting spanked by a rotary

Thats what I made my clips from. Link
I did not rip this clip from the movie because its already out there. Lots of rotary stuff in those movies. Good films.

*edit*

Yes it is a repost. When it was posted before someone said that the commentator was Richard Hammond. It is NOT Richard Hammond, its some australian dude that you see all throughout the movies.

Repost but sweet none the less. If the 12A Turbo did that, imagine what the 20B would have done. It would have been a slaughter

If the 12A Turbo did that... why would you need a 20B at all? You would gain far too much weight anyway.

Not as much as you would think. I was saying if the 12A Turbo was able to do that, then imagine what the 20B would have done had the alternator not broken.

Eh.. I know that the weight gain wouldn't be all that much, but any weight gain is too much when there is no reason to up the weight. All I am saying is that the cost put into building a car with a 20B compared to the cost of building a car that came with a 12A and adding a turbo and what have you would be tons less, which would leave lots more room to add even more power for it, plus you don't get the weight gains from a 20B.

As great as the 20B is, I find it a bit ridiculous. You can be an *** load of power out of a 12A, and therefore what is the point of putting a 20B in anything unless you just want to be different?

And also, who really needs an obscene amount of horsepower? There comes to a certain point where there is too much for the car, more specifically like around corners where the slightest tap of gas in a 250 horsepower car can power you right around with no problems, but 300 can make you slide out of control.

That in itself goes back into the entire weight problem as well. You have more weight in the front, that will force more understeer. It is all unnecessary.

That goes without saying that I absolutely love seeing 20B swaps and what have you, but cost for cost, you could build a faster 12A powered FB than a 20B powered car, say you were limited to 5000 dollars. Or even 10,000 dollars.

Obviously there would be a point when the 12A would reach its peak, but honestly, who needs to have 720 wheel horse in a first gen? Who needs 350? Its all overkill.

Eh, that is just my two cents anyway. I'm not trying to start a fued. I love 20B powered cars. I love 12A's and 13B's. I love it all.

Very good points. I am building a 12A Turbo FB that will dominate all the imports back home in Hagerstown. I think a 20B FB with just minor stuff like a single turbo and nice front mount with a nice exhaust would be sweet
