series 4 and 5 rx7's can run poorly due to f***ed factory ecu actually make that any injected rx7 they rely on a coarsly adjusted air flow meter and a processor designed in the 80's its not unusual to find em flooding on start up running poorly and using heaps of fuel alot of the time its put down to the engine or turbo more often than not its the ecu the answer simple aftermarket ecu (haltech,microtech,wolf,apexi) any of these will do and wont cost u a bomb. v8's suck put a ls1 rx7 up against a rotary rx7 with similar hp torque what will win ? the rotar! v8's are big lumpy pieces of **** that are only good for haulin trailers. end rant

the 2nd one is so lame. **** that guy. its one thing to put in a v8 because you want reliability, torque, etc. but to take a direct stab at rotaries saying its a piece of **** is fucked up.
Most rx7s on the road are still rotary dumbfuck, does that mean the majority of them are pieces of ****? i say stfu and go buy a corvette if you just cant hang...
some v8 rx7 guys are modest about what they did like audiobot but the guy that made that one is a piece of dogshit.

I think LS1's in Rx7's aren't that bad....actually they can be pretty cool. But it just aint right to say an LS1 is better than a rotary. Sure a rotary needs to be taken care of, but if you can't take care of your car then don't drive! Besides for those guys that road race/drift the easy power of an LS1 is an easy way out.
Just my 2 cents...I'm not on either side...well maybe more rotary side but I keep it fair.

Ok I can see why people want to put in a v8 but why an old outdated piece of crap like the ls1????? Why not get an engine that has up-to-date technology like the German’s, Italian’s, Japanese’s....etc??

Simple because all gm did since the 50's with the v8 engine was change the name and added fuel injected where the rotary has changed allot more since the 50's.
