Supra (MKIV) vs. RX-7 (FD) Road Race VIDEO!!!!!!!!!
The FD sure was using one of the most important rules of race: Using as much of the track as possible.... and in a few cases, all the track and then some. Of course it all caught up to the driver on that one turn, lol. Supra won in consistency though and that's really what matters in a race: speed and consistency (and reliability but that's, more or less out of the driver's hands WHILE racing). Though the Supra did apex a few corners early and just rode the inside curb until he reached where, I assume, he intended to apex the corner.

But if its any consolation, I managed to find a link to the supraforums to show the other side of the story.

That was a badass race right there. One of the best videos I've downloaded.....even though it took like 10 hours.
That post on the supra forum was hilarious:
Yes Jack the RX-7 driver is semi pro with more than 10+ years experience. ex rally driver, driven at Daytona 24hrs.ect.. so we are playing catch up with him, he is really, really fast..Not making excuses but Steve is a really, really good Realtor

post from the supraforums:
"You guys have come a long way in the last year or so. I saw the blocking by the RX-7 shoe from a friend's video. The way I see it, if the RX-7 hadn't blocked and Steve A would've have gotten past and been able to drive his preferred line, he wins. I know, coulda, woulda, shoulda, but that's how I see it having viewed the whole race several times now. Congrats again, guys. You're definitely making us proud."
One blocking move is allowed, I didn't see Jack swerving back and forth blocking Steve from passing...

Kind of wish the supra didn't stop when the rx7 passed him that last time.
