I was reading and looking at the pictures and i saw the road name but it didnt really hit me till later last night that i too performance drive on a road named 151. only i am in western virginia. It was plenty of nice switch backs and good mountain driving in general. i will have to get some pics out so we can compare our 151's

 

heehee...I think I'm the person on this forum that lives closest to Hwy 151 in Candler, NC!!! (if i am wrong, please speak up!) hahahaha...it runs from US Hwy 19/23 to the Blue Ridge parkway. The best part is the last 4 - 5 mi up the hill to the parkway (perhaps i will actually measure it next time i'm out there...)

man you know 151 well. yeah the last few miles are pretty dcent but it where it jumps on to route 6 that is truly sick...infact i was just out there 10 minutes ago in my GTX.

 

are you sure its the same 151 that we are talking about? b/c VA is one hell of a long ways away from it. lol

 

Indeed I have 276 & 151 in my back pocket. I kinda live in a sports car paradise!
I havent been back up there, Ive been working late but this weekend I'm going to spend some time up there. Its also a nice ride down 215, I took the Miata to the end and back the other day. Its about 60 miles round trip and not too far from 151. Anyways, I like the pics Allen. You guys ride up this weekend if you can.

 

dunno man, i gotta work this weekend. but im about to start full-time @ my job so that is going to bring a lot of money towards my car! some much needed love and attention.

i want to drive my car w/o worrying so much and just drive it wide open. who knows what i want to do but im going to put money into it and enjoy it. but yeah, if i start full-time ill have every Thursday, Friday, Saturday off from here on out.

 

I would argue that i'm a little close to 151 than eli is...or we are very close...if u wnat me to, i'll figure it out this weekend and see who's closer even taking the shortest distance to where u turn on to 151 from 19/23....i believe i'm ~12 or 13 mi from it...eli has to come down 276 and through canton...or if he goes up 276, that might make it close...i'll find out (yes i'm arguing this point!)

 

Now why would I drive down 276, Hit 110, go down old asheville hwy to candler to get on 151? If im not mistaken, you were in the car the other day when we went down 151. Now, think how long it took to get to house after we turned around then calculate how long it would take you to get to the turn around spot.
Where playing this new game, its called I win! LOL. Besides, Arguing with me is futile. I will drag you down to my level and beat you with experiance. Anyways, Ill go up there this weekend and get an exact mileage from house to 151. I'll bet you a quart of Valvoline Im closer Allen: Good luck on the full time, And having time off on the weekend is great and having your days off chiseled in stone is a plus too.
