Power wise i'm in the 360-370ish with about 354 ft-lbs area. i haven't officially dragged the car yet- mod list is pretty extensive and yes this is the same one. Not too many gold FD's out there!

nice. are you the buyer or the seller?
those numbers sound like an LS1 with mild cam and some bolt-ons. which cam you got?

you got it. mild cams, long tube headers, dual exhaust, pullies, cold air intake, etc- this is my car which makes me the owner/seller.

Jeez, I've been looking into V8 swaps for so long now, but I don't think I'd ever do one. I have no problem with other people going them on their cars (your car sounds/looks freaking sweet btw), but I just don't think it's for me...maybe something about the sound.

What's tough to understand, easier to get more hp/torque, more relable, and better gas mpg. Tuff CHOICE!

Nice vids!

no offense people. just an opinion. just looks like those who do a swap have no faith in the wankel. just a shame.

trust me, when your engine goes POP over and over again and you're shelling out money to fix it each time... you'll toy with the notion of swapping too. It's not that I don't have faith in the wankel- i've been around rotaries for a while. I just wanted try another method.

91 pump gas (that's all we get here in cali in most places)!! pulled into a gas station down the street, filled up and jammed out to the track!

i've had three 7evens and never had one pop. Yes rotaries are finicky, just saying that the heart of the 7 is a rotary. if i wanted a v8 i woulda got a stang or camaro. why not a 20b swap if more torque is needed.

blah blah blah, preach on to people that care, seriously.

20b swaps cost HOW much?

when will people get it that no car has a "soul"? make the soul out to be whatever you want it to be.

if i wanted a v8 i woulda got a stang or camaro.
preference, guy, preference.

IMO, a stang or camaro DO NOT look as good as an FD and they don't handle nearly as good, so to tell someone to get a camaro/stang in the first place is stupid.

his money, his choices, and his opinions only matter. the end.

I like both, and i LOOOOOOOOVE the thought of a 20B. But it just isn't realistic to people with a budget.

The soul of a car is whatever you want it to be. When you get to a certain point in your life you stop caring about being unique or the car's "soul" and you want performance, thats why the V8 swap makes so much sense. For the people that aren't insecure about doing something common...its just soooooo right.

If you ever have a chance, take a ride in a LSX equipped FD. It's like night and day.

I rode in a 450rwhp LS1 powered FD, didn't blow my mind. I like rotaries, I like V8s, it's not really like night and day to me.

when your power band shifts from 5500 + in a rotary to 2500 range in a v8... yea its different. even on single turbo rotary making about 400+, you're not gonna have the same torque or power band as a v8 making the same power. Don't get me wrong, I like rotaries a lot, all I was trying to say is that the shift in torque/power is very different.
