I miss my SSR's. One of my favorite wheels of all time. I wanted to see if I could pull off a good track setup , hence these wheels.

Regarding Kevlar pieces... you either love it or hate it. We just wanted to show what we can do . Clean look is always good, but sometimes you just gotta go ***** out and try something people haven't seen... as long as its not permanent .

My car is low. Yes. Everyone who knows me knows I like it low and sleek. I daily drive my car everywhere. 95k on the chassis. So far.... the kevlar bumper protectors are helping to keep my bumper in tip top shape. Sideskirts rarely ever hit as they are approx 4.5 inches off the ground. Front bumper is approx 2.5-3 inches off the ground which is approx the limit for getting around most places here in L.A. Good thing about the FEED bumper is that front portion is raised up by design. Only the sides of the bumper would scrap. That is the whole idea behind the bumper protector pieces. Even if your car was 4 inches off the ground, the sides of the bumper would scrape eventually.

Tires

front 285/35

Rear 295/35

Very little rubbing if any.

Wheels

Front Advan RZ 18x9 + 25 with 10mm spacer. Will try 15mm very soon. (im always testing the limits

Rear Advan RS 18x10 +15 (most aggressive advan Rs size currently available) with 5mm spacer.
How much negative camber are you running with that setup Ken? 285 on a + 15 is crazy and makes me happy as that is what I was thinking for my wheels.

I have to get back to you on how much camber im running in the front, but i know it is moderately aggressive. I have to look at my alignment papers again. My brother works at an alignment / tire shop so that helps with experimentation. My rear cambers are not too aggressive.

Keep in mind Im trying to go out 5mm more... so I do have quite a bit of room left. Even with very little camber... you should be safe as long as the inside of the feed fenders have been trimmed properly. The trick is to trim it down as far as possible without losing rigidity.

Any insight you can provide would be great Ken! What series sidewall are you running? Also, will those pieces for the feed front bumper work with your original feed front or only your new version? I am assuming they can be made in carbon fiber and if so how much? If I would have known you made them I would have put them in my last order - got the fedex notification btw.

Im running 35 series.

We didnt change the design of the feed bumper on the bottom, so they should work with any feed type II R bumper.

We use two layers or carbon or kevlar to help the pieces withstand scraping longer. We can make them out of FRP as well , but they will not be nearly as durable. A must have item for protection. Should last awhile.

The wheels are Advan RS or RZ. They're out there... Lots of them in stock at the moment at Mackin Industries.

Ken, I'd be interested in a set of those protective strips for the bumper too, in carbon please. Let me know the price. Thanks.
