Yep, its a full Carbon RE-Amemiya GT300 bodykit. I think it will break the Tsukuba Time Attack Record soon. I have the Import Tuner mag in which it is featured, its a masterpiece of automotive engineering.

 

That's what I assumed. Too bad It has very little to do with a RX7 chassis since it's a tube chassis.

 

It isnt considered tube chassis. If you look at the buildup pics the oldest photo shows its utilizing a standard FD chassis with support beams welded in and carbon kit overlayed. Technically its a 1/2 chassis since they still utilized some of the original chassis. Not trying to nit pick or anything but if this FD does beat the Tsukuba rwd record it will be considered a FD chassis unlike the HKS Evo which is not really acknowledged as having the fastest record. I believe the M Speed R34 has the Tsukuba overall record and is acknowledged. Correct me if im wrong.

 

Actually let me correct myself after reading a couple sites the Revolution FD is considered a tube chassis to my amazement. I wonder if this will affect whether or not its acknowledged if it does in fact break any records in the near future. I guess full tube chassis cars are defined differently between drag cars and time attack cars. Anyway it will be interesting to see what happens this year at Tsukuba time attacks
