Good tip!! Sounds like "Miata_mx5" is an industry guy who knows his way around. Cool stuff.
I took a cab from my hotel also. About 15 minutes, not too far from the above mentioned JR station.
Coincidently I spotted an FC on the way and got all excited, apologized to the taxi driver the best I can -"gomendesai", and said "RX7" he then drove faster to keep up on the narrow twisty section of road.
Was kind of cool.

I'm curious how wide they are.
Also, did you get to see where they ported/assembled the engines?
That would rock!!
I'm so jealous.

I hope I will have some proficiency of the language and culture next time around. Easier said than done...
Thanks!
I'm so glad I was able to share my experience with you folks that have an appreciation for this.
Thanks!
Good Luck on your trip, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks glad you liked them.
I'm sure this trip will have a lasting impression that I will remember for life.
Some hott ones for sure. Unmarried, the young ones can be aggressive and actually will do cat calls and are flirtatious. Married, conservative.
In Guam & Saipan where they go to play, even more so and dress more sexy.

Amazing how another culture is worlds apart from any other.
I definetly felt I was in a time machine in another world.
It was so cool to see another cultures top tuner and how they express themselves through their cars in their engineering, art, philosophy and work ethics.
Would've been greatly disappointed to go clear across the world to discover that there was no differences in their cars.
I feel so fortunate to have experienced something that cannot be found anywhere else.
I've never seen that many FD's at a shop and with such a variety in styling all in one place doing business as usual.
I was so blown away by the ancient arcitechture (castles, temples and shrines), Samurai Swords and armour. 100's of Pics.
I visited Narita, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island (absolutely breathtaking), Osaka and Chiba, such a lasting impression that I will never forget.

You will love it. Next time I'm gonna end my vacation there with some extra days at one of the cool inns on the island. Lots of old traditional shops, even an udon noodle shop all alone in the middle of the forest. Bike rentals available too.
Miyajima Island
Ninoshima Island where most of my mom's relatives live. (taken from Miyajima cable tram)
