R35 GTR Vs. RE FD3s Touge Match
I guess where still the kings of the Touge world. Enjoy!
not really. if you watched the rest of the dvd the re amemiya rx7 had its first lost against the j's racing s2000. it was in the wet though...the amemiya fd couldnt put down anypower. whereas the j's racing s2k being n/a and "only" having 300hp had a much easier time in the wet
stock engine, beefed up suspension. More power isn't nessecerally a good thing on such a tight course.

That's a really old race, though...and that's the only time I've seen that FD lose.
How do you hold a gear in the GTR? Say you wanna purposely over-rev just to make it to the next corner so you don't unload the suspension. Is that possible? Or will it shift for you at redline no matter what?

mmmmm, paddle shifting. i hate the new skyline, as a processor of the skyline name, its a redheaded bastard child that was dumbed at the orphanage, with a hump on its back.
as its very own car, no follow up to any existing car lineup, its dope.
anyways, not bad, but i dont think its really a fair fight
technology, awd, paddle shifting vs a 90's car that the ecu only manages the engines neccessities. one weighs WAY more than the other but makes up for it in technology and $$$, while the other is light, nimble, and very deadly.
not a fair fight, but **** the "gtr 35"

either way the g35 (skyline) is a good successor to the skyline. non gtr skylines are nothing to brag about
if you are talking about the gtr being the successor to the skyline gtr then its also a good successor. the old gtr's were never light and always relied upon their fancy awd system. the gtr has always relied on technology to go fast.

I like the part before they start racing where Amemiya-san basically say's "The 35 is a new car so if we loose....screw it, it can't be helped." He's no rookie, he knows that technology is eventually going to pass the FD. That's why Mazda needs to hurry up and throw that 16X into something
guys I just watched the whole hot version video. The Amemiya FD does loose to the J's S2000
, the R35 is still no match for the FD though, let's wait until the MCR R35 gets fully tuned Im sure it will beat the FD.
the S2000 was softtop, and won with no effort, although road conditions were really wet giving the edge to the underpowered S2000. Still Amemiya lost.

very good video though

You have to understand, this car's been running on that track for like 5 years, maybe longer. It debuted by knocking off the R34 and hasn't lost since.
Looks like *** is an opinion.
Im sure lots of people say the FD looks ugly, or like a probe. Thats their opinion.
And the G35 IS a skyline. Just as the rsx here was the integra over there, and people here calling the rsx an integra.
Its the same ****.

but there seems to be a consensus that the fd is a nice looking car. So I don't know how you're "SURE" that lots of people think its ugly. I've heard more mixed opinions about the gtr's looks.

Frankly, the driver of the FD had to fight it the whole time. Whether it was twitchy, weather, or a combo; the GT-R looked a lot more composed. MCR will definitely come out with a better tune in a year or two. Hats of to Mr. Amemiya for another win though!
