hey guys, heres a video i did about 4 weeks ago ... before i removed my corksport exhaust. i bought a Racing Beat REV2 complete exhaust with the downpipe.
i installed it on july 29th, ... and i blew my engine (well one rotor...) on the friday.

so this is my last video before next spring,
im in the process of buying a JDM S5 engine with a bigger turbo and tuned ecu.
so ill swap it in within the next few months... im in Canada so i have to save some job for the nice snowy days of this winter.

You'll love the sound of RB. Mine is incognito when putting around, but screams when I lay on it.

 

yeah i loved the sound of the RB for the 3 days i drove it, before the engine blew.
i went everywhere i was scared of the cops to stop me, downtown Montreal.

for sure i miss the pure raw un-cut sound of the rotary with the corksport, and its many backfires.....
but the sound of the RB at WOT is something too,... and it actually pops some freaking big backfires too. So in conclusion, im happy, i can say thats the best investment on any of my RX7's so far (with the RB FCD).

so is there any reason in particular that the engine blew?

 

boost creep...

i was beside my brother's skyline on the highway, going 120 kmh... we decide to go for it.
So i floored it and saw the needle of the boost gauge hit 23-25 psi, the tires skidded for something like 100 foots, the speedometer hit 200 kmh all on the 4th gear.
I let go of the gaz, my brother told me i popped 3-4 foots flames from both mufflers. i dropped the speed down around 110 kmh cause i was wondering what the hell just happened...

After, everything seemed fine. but then my brother came back beside me. So i wanted to take a picture of his car rolling, but he taught i wanted to film, so he pressed on the gaz,... so did i to stay beside for the picture,..
and then POW, loss of power by 50%, car felt shaky, the turbo was still spooling at the normal 11-12 psi. but no freakin power at all.
i drove to a parking area, opened the hood, and the engine was shaking like crazy.
i turned the engine off, and after that the engine never started again.

currently im in the process of removing the engine... any tips on removing the engine from the tranny ???
