Took forever to get this thing uploaded...

I finished off my exhaust last weekend, stuck on a '99 ypipe kit, 3" heat wrapped M2 Downpipe, 3" Pettit High flow cat, then Apex'i GT Spec cat back so I'm done in that department. I'm a little worried about boost creep now though, which is why I'm not mashing on the throttle yet

Surprisingly, I've been hearing rotaries get LOUD but my car didn't get all that loud at all after the DP and cat... I'm a little bummed by that It sounds very normal up to about 3k but after 4k it screams a little bit, but nothing wild

NIce vid, very clean car. I wouldnt worry much about boost creap with the high flow cat. I would worry about getting it tuned (and maybe a IC) since ur prob boosting higher.

 

Whats the point of the video? If your trying to show what the exhaust sounds like why is there music playing over it?

 

I wasn't really focusing on the exhaust in the vid... it was just a video

 

Wow, thats not loud at all. Is that gt-spec 3.75"? The high flow cat must cut noise alot.

Yeah the GT spec goes 3.75" at the end. My Z with 2.5" piping seems to be louder which is weird


How does your midpipe set up compare? Is it loud under 3k at all?

 

Ya the cat is making it quiet if you put a straight pipe there then it will like the other loud rx7s you hear.
