Anyone know the setup on this RX7? Does real good against the cars it's racing!

Nice to see a RX7 against all those high powered monsters

I built the car. It is running a Half bridge ported and pinned motor. The turbo is a precision billet 71 dbb. The exhaust is only 3 inch for now. It made right at 500 wheel at 18 psi on 91 and water. I switched it to E85 very early Saturday morning (2 am) before these runs on Sunday. It was never dynoed on E85 but with what we were seeing out of it the car should have been 625+ to the wheels. It was on a stock trans and rear, but the owner was eating diffs for breakfast so it is down now for an upgrade to a haltech 4 id2000's, Kazz and a few other goodies. It will be ripping up the track soon. I should have 2 more 7's ready for the next TI event. Both are rotary with a bit more displacement.

The car is a blast. I was slotted to take my TT Viper to the event, but it did not make it. So we threw the Rx7 together at the last min.. Like Hours before the event, i was racing on zero sleep. But was worht it! This little car was suprising everyone! I lost my fair share of races, but i also won races that no one though i had a prayer in! I was by far the lowest HP car there, besides me it was a 770whp Fbody then a few cars in the 800-950 range. Then everything else over 1k. There will be another one of these in October, and plan on taking two cars. But cant say enough about Brad at R.I.P, he has done great with the car!

Ready to get the Halltech, Id 2000's, Stronger rear end and axels, and the twin disk in it. Crank the boost up and drive the **** out of it!

THere is a catch can. Just later in the day it couldn't keep up.

Also this car saw 50+ 150 mph + runs that weekend. Jrod was trying to top 5th a couple times.
