fresh pictures (H9)

I think sizing them down messes up the quality a little bit but I will work on that and check it out.

original was sized down to 800x600 instead of it being sized down to 640x480.

Is SOMEONE learning depth of field? What kind of camera is this? Are you doing post processing to blur the "non important" stuff?

no I'm not learning depth of field. I am not using a DSLR. the camera is a Sony Cybershot H9. I'm trying to figure out why my pics aren't coming out as crisp as they should. I think its just the resizing them thats doing it.

ok... I think this one is a little more sharp. non-edited, but this seemed to turn out better.

it depends what size res you originally take the pics. If you take them in like 42xx by 28xx res and then scale them down to 800 by 640 for photobucket they will lose some quality just from starting so big and turnign so small.
My advice would be to take them in like 28xx by 15xx widescreen style.
