FD with new CF pics.

New look with RE CF N1 Hood and RE CF FEED Sideskirts.
i wanted to keep my car as sleek and 'sleeper' like as possible, but the overheating issues and the good deal made me go with them.
what do you guys think?

Looks great. Where did you buy the hood and skirts? Also, have you seen a noticeable drop in temps (underhood or operating) since the install?

thanks a lot guys. its a rotary extreme hood with hood dampers and rotary extreme side skirts. i have noticed a slight drop in water and air temps, but i need to add the undertray to see more imporvement. im currently designing a custom radiator panel, so once it's done, i should be running 89-95*c tops during normal driving conditions. my engine runs a little hot now, but once i lay off it, or am stopped at a stop light, it cools down immediatly.

thanks guys. my only complaint with the hood is that i can't close it with the rain guards in because my HKS Racing Suction Kit sits too high. i turned it down, and it still wont clear. i just put them in before i go to bed, in case it rains, and take them out before i drive. she's way too fast for rain drops anyways. again thanks for the compliments. if anyone is interested in certain parts of my car, i can gladly take more pictures for you. if you are interested in what i have done, you can check my myspace (what am i? 12?). enjoi!

i think the re hood is the nicest hood for an fd. just my opinion though. i used to think the scood hoods looked amazing but since i saw my friends re hood i've really started hating them haha. there is just no comparison

I think your FD looks really sharp and mean. I was admiring it at rotorfest . I should have taken a closer look at your sparcos, as I am in the market for seats. Are those the milanos/torinos? What did you do for brackets?

hey rich. you were one of the people i wanted to meet and thank for all the help on the forum at rotorfest. theyre sparco torinos with factory brackets. they really dont fit. i think Cekret messed up on the install, cause ive seen torinos cleanly fit in a full interiored FD. theyre comfortable seats, but i would get Recaro race buckets if i could.

eric-im sorry to hear that you have to sell the car. ive been meaning to head down to see ray for a tuning session, but ive been busy. ill give you a call when im planning on heading down. anything good lined up after?

oh yea, the R. Pierson vinyl is off. a 6 hour buff job killed it the night before the show (thats why it was an awful redish black color), so i finally took it off and buffed the roof. i have an extra set (black letters with a red lion) but ill wait til next race season to put them on.

You mentioned you had the Rotary Extreme harness bar. Any idea where I could purchase a bung from to install the harnesses? Thanks.

it was expensive as far as a replica goes. ($1,350 including shipping) but its the only aftermarket hood id have for my car. i was going to go with a Knight Sport hood, but i fell in love with this hood before i even bought my RX-7 (RE Amemiya's Green Aspara Drink track car from Super Street 4 years ago was my motivation) and i never like to settle for anything less then what i really want, except my racing rims (but you cant beat $80 for 16" Sport Edition Rims that weigh 17lbs each.)
