We really realized what drifting was about 1.5yrs ago, and started going out all the time. At one point we were going through as many as 4-5 sets of used tires a week. If you go the route of trying this in random parking lots or other places, you really need to be prepared to hit lots of things, such as curbs, curbs, curbs, curb then a tree. But we would do it all over agian. You begain to feel like a crack head, looking through used tire bins, just to find the perfect set of used tires w/ 3/32 of tread. Just to beable to drift for 10mins, but man those 10mins are like gold. So watch out or you to will be a drift addict!!
